Did you know that 93% of all statistics on the internet are made up on the spot, and that 68% of readers believe them?
By the look of things, Bungie is moving along quite nicely. Yes, it is unfortunate that some inconsiderate bastard felt the need to covertly snap a few shots of an early build of Reach, but whats done is done.
So we have to just take what we know for sure and make an informed decision on what to think about this.
First, Bungie wants us to remain in the dark up until the last possible second when they are ready to reveal something, whether that's a trailer, pics, podcast, etc, they have the final say on when we get info or and official reveal.
That said, the weapon models do look rather nice, which leads me to believe these are not just the work of some freelance mod or whatever.
Ive been playing Killzone 2 since its release and i must say that NO other game i have played has married amazing graphics with smooth, intuitive gameplay quite like it.
So ever since playing that, i have been wishing Reach would deliver on the graphical front, with new lighting effects, better weapon modeling, higher-res renders, etc.
Sure, im gonna get MW2 when it comes out to hold me over until Reach, but even that doesn't look impressive graphically, although its gameplay is gonna make up for that and then some.
All in all, im excited and have a new-found confidence in Bungie for what they will release next fall. Reach is shaping up to be the Halo with the graphics we all want, and the inventiveness we all need, especially Bungie, to stay competitive in this constantly evolving market.
The level of quality has greatly risen, thus putting more pressure on Bungie's already crushing load...if thats even possible. But dont worry, they can handle it.
