Subject: "Antique" Weapons?

Just to start, I would like to say that it's been a while since I have read the books, so don't incinerate me.
My idea is that maybe in the game, you could find an antique weapon, from the year 2010. I think it would be a nice touch to find one and some ammo in a glass case or something.

Sounds good to me.

It'd be incredibly useless against anything with Shields or special armor.

I speak the truth, and truth speaks itself.
The lies disguise what you despise.
Run. Flee and be, what you've always dreamed.
What happens now won't matter later.
What you see will not be, nor what you imagine will not happen.
The end is close, so take your dose.

It's still good for popping grunts, though.

That's true, but so was the pistol in ODST. On legendary it was diffucult to take down power armor.

I like this idea as maybe an easter egg, I can imagine Chief or Sam or one of 'em walking through a destroyed museum/display thingy and just being able to pick it up. Maybe for the sake of not having to make a whole new gun mechanic, just make it go exactly like the AR but sound like, say, a modern-day SCAR.

Get out of my signature.

Fancy, but how will it work out in forge and how many glass cases will be lying around in campaign any way?

That's a brilliant idea. It would be quite a laugh to use a Desert Eagle or AK47 against the Covenant, but power armour could be a problem...

Bungie could just do what they did when they turned the gravity hammer into a golf club-just re-skin an existing weapon.
For your second question, I would say maybe five. Maybe an achievement for finding them all.
Achievment unlocked: Nostalgic: find all antique weapons.

Yeah, and it would be realy awsome if we took one of our most modern weapon until 2010 and put it there, then make a sign over the weapon saying: "(e.g.)AK 47 (I now it isn't one of our most modern weapon), a common weapon at the early 21 century...

Another cool easter egg would be if there was a bungie employe in a cryotube-like thing which said

Frozen human from early 21 century.

Name: (anny bungie employe)
Age (?)
......
