Bungie (or Microsoft) sold the rights to the Halo franchise to 343 Industries, so after Reach, all future Halo games will not be made by Bungie
343 Industries is an internal game studio created by Microsoft to take over the Halo games after Bungie finishes Reach.
Nobody sold anything... Microsoft has owned the rights to the Halo franchise since they acquired Bungie in 2000. Even though Bungie invented the Halo IP, part of Microsoft's deal when they acquired Bungie was that Microsoft owns the Halo franchise.
343 is founded by Frankie from Bungie, and is comprised for the most part of people that worked for Bungie, Ensemble, AND Gearbox, all of which worked with Halo.
Mostly true, but their team still worries me. Frankie is awesome, but he's really a glorified community manager. He never wrote any plot or contributed anything to the actual Halo games. The only other announced member of the team that ACTUALLY worked on a first-party Halo game is Nathan Walpole, a 3d animator.
Corrine Yu is an Engine Programmer from Gearbox, but all Gearbox ever did was port the xbox version of Halo CE to PC. But she did work on Borderlands, Brothers in Arms, and the upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines game.
Kenneth Scott, the Art Director for 343, worked for id.

Unfortunately, 7 is their max number: Halo 1,2,3, Wars, ODST, and Reach.... wait, that's only six. So is there going to be ONE more after Reach?
Halo Wars was not developed by Bungie.
