I had been thinking since there is a chance brutes will probably not be in halo reach. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE CHOPPER! I dont want my favorite vehicle in the game to be gone because we got rid of big foot!=[

If somebody's opinion is being smashed and nobody's helping, I try and help. I use logic and extensive vocabulary (and sometimes self-destructive circular reasoning) to confuse my enemies into submission. Fear me, trolling, fapping creatures of the night. For I. Am your worst nightmare.

Chopper sux. Give me a new Hog and I'll be good.

Chopper was pretty damn overpowered anyways.

And who said there wasn't going to be any brutes in Reach?

Yeah and Brutes probably weren't even on Reach anyway. Besides we will probably only see the standard enemies (i.e Grunts, Jackals, Hunters, Elites, maybe Drones and Engineers).

Please quote me a line from any Halo media that says something along the lines of "And all the brutes sat on their asses in orbit as they sadly watched the battle below because not a single one of them was mobilized to the planet's surface ever."

Read Fall of Reach. Now Im not saying that Bungie will compltetely go by the book because I dont want to get into another argument with Cheehwawa again (cant tell you how many of those I've had), but if I read correctly it said nothing about the Jiralhanae.

"They let me pick... did I ever tell you that? Choose whichever Spartan I wanted. You know me. I did my research. Watched as you became the soldier we needed you to be. Like the others you were strong and swift and brave, a natural leader. But you had something they didn't. Something no one saw but me. Can you guess? Luck."

The book never said the brutes where on the Reach, but it never said they weren't. The brutes were probally on Reach, it was no just metioned in the books.

Books, Logic, Bungie,

Might I see your sources for these three and quotations?

  • 11.08.2009 6:18 PM PDT

1. Borders
2. Common Sense from TFOR
3. Bungie produced the books.

So then some some of sleek, one-man covenant vehicle that also has a pair of integrated guns? Make it kind of bulbous like the other Elite vehicles, the Wraith and Banshee. Make it purple, they seem to like purple. And of course a boost of some sort.

Too bad we'll probably never see anything like that...

Good god, were this an english class and your teacher expected you to clearly back up your reasoning with evidence, you would fail miserably.

Of course the books came from borders. In which book and in what quote does it say that there was never a single brute on Reach?

Likewise, instead of being a smartass and saying "common sense", can you explain more clearly? Because the way I see it, in the Fall of Reach, sure, none of the protagonists saw a Brute, however, the book was not written in the view point of each and every spartan. It is possible that one or more of the spartans unnamed by the book and who's adventures and ultimate fate were note explored by the book could have fought against a few groups of brutes. Its pretty likely that we will end up playing as these unnamed spartans. So no, the books do not confirm that brutes won't be in the game.

Bungie didn't write the books, they consider it's contents canon however. But as I just explained, the books never say that there were absolutely no Brutes on Reach. And Bungie hasn't come out in their weekly updates and said "There were no brutes on Reach" either.

I speak the truth, and truth speaks itself.
The lies disguise what you despise.
Run. Flee and be, what you've always dreamed.
What happens now won't matter later.
What you see will not be, nor what you imagine will not happen.
The end is close, so take your dose.

Brute vehicles are bulky. Like the chopper & Prowler.

Regular covenant (elitist) vehicles are like the ghost and banshee.

bungie has proven that a bunch of monkeys sitting in front of keyboards can randomly type out a masterpiece. the thing is, when you go to play the masterpiece, you cant help but notice all the monkey s**t smeared all over it.

it gets real old having to wait months for someone like mlg to clean off all the monkey poo.

the spectre/prowler just ended up being ugly, underpowered, covenant themed warthogs, and didnt really contribute anything new.

the chopper, however, actually ended up filling a niche role in halo. the long range guns and vehicle wrecking boost distinguish it from the ghost, which murders infantry up close and can maneuver in smaller areas, and its rightfully not quite as powerful/adaptable as the two man hog.

removing it wouldnt break anything, but it would be eliminating something unique and that worked.

KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!

What was wrong with the Spectre? The Spectre was a great vehicle. Too bad the didn't have it in multiplayer. Actually slightly better than the warthog because you could fit a driver, gunner, and TWO passengers. And it was by no means ugly.
The Prowler on the other hand has awful control, and is less powerful than dual-wielded Plasma Rifles.

Ok, you are correct. Brutes were on reach. But they were in Camo so that's why when Fred and Kelly were flying over the valley they saw thousands of Covenant forces Tons of jackals and grunts, and hundreds of elites. All going in and out of the Cruiser's grav lift above. Never one theroy about a Hairy gorilla looking covenant. Unless they were all in Camo....YOUR ARGUMENT IS POINTLESS! I BET $100! there will be no BRUTES in Halo:Reach K?

I could only use the warthog, so I guess there won't be any. Though rest assured, the new - or old here - hog is pretty neat, definitely gonna be a fan favourite.
