1. Borders
2. Common Sense from TFOR
3. Bungie produced the books.

Good god, were this an english class and your teacher expected you to clearly back up your reasoning with evidence, you would fail miserably.

Of course the books came from borders. In which book and in what quote does it say that there was never a single brute on Reach?

Likewise, instead of being a smartass and saying "common sense", can you explain more clearly? Because the way I see it, in the Fall of Reach, sure, none of the protagonists saw a Brute, however, the book was not written in the view point of each and every spartan. It is possible that one or more of the spartans unnamed by the book and who's adventures and ultimate fate were note explored by the book could have fought against a few groups of brutes. Its pretty likely that we will end up playing as these unnamed spartans. So no, the books do not confirm that brutes won't be in the game.

Bungie didn't write the books, they consider it's contents canon however. But as I just explained, the books never say that there were absolutely no Brutes on Reach. And Bungie hasn't come out in their weekly updates and said "There were no brutes on Reach" either.

Ok, you are correct. Brutes were on reach. But they were in Camo so that's why when Fred and Kelly were flying over the valley they saw thousands of Covenant forces Tons of jackals and grunts, and hundreds of elites. All going in and out of the Cruiser's grav lift above. Never one theroy about a Hairy gorilla looking covenant. Unless they were all in Camo....YOUR ARGUMENT IS POINTLESS! I BET $100! there will be no BRUTES in Halo:Reach K?

Yup, because every Covenent unit they deployed to the surface of Reach was on that one cruiser. Because when all those units died in the nuke blast, there was totally not other ground forces leftover to overun the generators. And brutes obviously weren't part of the leftovers, because that one cruiser had no brutes stationed on it, so its logical to assume that the couple hundred other cruisers didn't have any brutes on them either, because the infantry makeups of each cruiser *MUST* be identical.

See the problem with your arguement? And I thought mine was pointless.

In addition, there is no need to shout or make idiotic bets. Makes you lose credibillity.

I could only use the warthog, so I guess there won't be any. Though rest assured, the new - or old here - hog is pretty neat, definitely gonna be a fan favourite.

Like people buy your Tom Morello...

I don't even buy the real Tom Morello.

Okay, Another location, The Shard's holding room. Where the Thousand's of covenant forces stood over the 4km wide room on pillars, again Cheif recognized Jackals, Grunts, Elites, and a pair of Hunters no Gorillas. Sorry you lose 0-2

I hate this guy.

The books never said that Santa was on Reach but they also didn't say that he WASN'T.

Different book. That took place a week or two after the Battle of Reach. I don't think the game will last that long, or follow the point of view of the protagonists of the books.

And how did I lose the previous example if you didn't counter anything I said and had to resort to another example?

Nice. But I think I am proving my point. And another fact. On the Halo world there was not one Brute. THE WHOLE DAMN HALO FIGHT. NOT ONE BRUTE!

Again with the shouting huh? You really want to look like an impulsive ten year old?

We are not talking about Halo CE. We are talking about Reach.

That's because they didn't invent it yet. Now that they done it, and told their existence prior to this, they can make a story that includes them before Halo CE without being illogic. I'd doubt they will take to the trash enemies they created and put time in.

You said that there were other ships in orbit that could hold brute forces. Even if the Cheif event happend a week later the Covenant search parties were on reach. Not one Brute. And to Tom if Bungie decided to put Brutes in Halo:Reach I would not play the Campagin that would be utterly stupid to put a Brute on Reach.

You really are trying too hard. Because there were no brutes in a single group of covenant, then that means that there were no brutes in a planetwide conflict that occured weeks earlier?

Thats like saying "There were no hunters in Halo 3 because I didn't see any in the first level of the campaign."

Yes my friend. If there were not Brute's on Halo a wayyy more important fight for the Covenant. Why would there be Brutes on Reach.

The brutes could not be trusted to be careful on the forerunner relic. Didn't they explain this in Contact Harvest? It might also explain why there were no brutes at the Covenent digsite.

Thank god, I hope they do put Brutes in so you wont play the game. The Brutes and the Elites hardly ever worked together, its even known that they had separate ships, hell even fleets that were either Brute lead or Elite lead. The Brutes were in the Covenant since before Harvest, its completely possible that they'll be on Reach.

Eesa 'Ahbatee - Ship Master of the Sovereign Guard

I come from a land down under...
Where beer does flow and men chunder...
Can you hear, can you hear the thunder?
You'd better run, you'd better take cover...

If Bungie follows established canon, it is unlikely that there will be Brutes on Reach (the planet). After the disastrous negotiations on Harvest, the Brutes were withdrawn from front-line combat until the events of Halo 2. However, if Halo: Reach includes other events on other planets (which is entirely possible, did you spend all your time on a Halo throughout the main trilogy?) there may well be Brutes. However, on Reach, Brutes would be unlikely to be part of something as important as a strike on what the Covenant thought as the possible human home-world.

If somebody's opinion is being smashed and nobody's helping, I try and help. I use logic and extensive vocabulary (and sometimes self-destructive circular reasoning) to confuse my enemies into submission. Fear me, trolling, fapping creatures of the night. For I. Am your worst nightmare.

He's got a point you know...

Right, because of a possibility, that means there are no brutes in Reach.
