You'd probably play as spartans, so there'd be some difficulty changes, but I think that playing Firefight as a spartan would rock. Use modified campaign areas, like ODST's Firefight did, but with the new engine, weapons, etc.

I'm 99% sure that there will be a Firefight mode in Reach. What I would like to see in it though is much more variety.

I would go for a competitive Firefight. Co-op just gets boring for me.

Corn, Oil, and Wine... We need more wine...

No, it was a terrible waste of dev time for ODST, which sucked IMO, and is just a waste of disk space when we could have an amazing forge editor and even more options in theatre.

but imo forge and theatre should always come second to game modes and i really liked firefight so i hope they do put an updated version of firefight in.

Hmm, boring ol' firefight that never changes ever, or an improved map maker/editor that will make your time on the game last many times longer than it would have ever lasted without it. Honestly, why wouldn't you want a crazy good map maker, over a boring slow paced FF mode?

Noticed your edit, and thats because I am the only one thinking of longevity for the game...

i agree that forge SHOULD be updated, however i also believe that it's fun to go online with a bunch of friends against AI but i believe that the ff cheevos should have been MUCH harder.

Here are some examples of customization options:

-Starting amount of lives for each player. Also, enable or disable gaining bonus lives for each player

-Which skulls (if any) turn on during the match, and possibly in which order

-Starting weapons

-Which enemies you fight. For example, I might just want to fight a bunch of grunts.



Of course, if there are achievements tied to Firefight, any changes made will make them null and void.

If you want to fight A.I. with your friends, why not just add objectives to that to make it much more fun and interesting... Oh' yeah that called campaign.

i agree with all of the customisation points however i also believe that the combined life pool should be kept as it makes ff more of a challenge and to get several of the achievements you should be required to keep the combined life pool on.

yeah campaign is fun but sometimes i just like to blast away as many enemies as possible lol, also after you've completed the campaign several hundred times the FMV's start to get boring.

I think Firefight (or that same human vs CPU scenario) is one of the best gaming trends in recent times.
