FINISH THE FIGHT

I was just re-watching a halo 3 review and i started to think about the elites and a few of the other covenant rebelling against the prophets and now i was thinking of ways they could put the civil war in Reach.

Now i know most of you are gonna say "Halo Reach is before the civil war and they don't have problems then" well that's mostly true but remember that, jackals hate grunts, elites hate brutes, hunters hate everyone, and the prophets don't give a damn about anyone else

here's what i think could happen: maybe your sneaking through the campaign and you see an elite argueing with a brute and they break out in a fight like at high school and same with the grunts and jackals ext., now i'm not saying this will always happen but just seldomly when they don't know you're there.

I don't know about you guys but i'd like to see two hunters fight a platoon of covenant.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

i don't want it easier it'd just be more in depth for the covenant story

It might be cool, but more as an easter egg then every 10 minutes.

Halo : Combat Evolved. The TRUE Beginning.

But wouldn't the Brutes not be there? And the rest of the Covenant were getting along quite fine untill they came along.

Iam enjoying Halo Reach and revisiting some past Bungie games, iam a big fan of Bungie and their online community.

I doubt that there will be any Rebels in Heretic.

Races randomly beginning brawls with each other doesn't add depth to the story, it makes the entire thing unrealistic.

1) Grunts don't rebel against the other castes because they are weaklings.
2) Jackals don't rebel against the higher castes because the elites would kill them.
3) The Brutes don't rebel against the elites because they wouldn't gain the prophets favor by slaughtering their body guards (until Halo 2, when they get ordered to).
4) The Elites don't rebel against the prophets because they are their holy leaders (though obviously this changes in Halo 2).
5) The prophets really don't have anyone to rebel against and have no reasons to start unnecessary fights with their underlings.
6) Nobody gives a -blam!- about the drones.
7) Hunters were trained by Elites and so are kinda allied with them, and they don't really care about the other castes.
Sure, there is animosity, but they aren't going to begin micro civil wars with each other, especially when they are in the middle of invaiding a major enemy stronghold.

Actually the Brutes only joined the Covenant 30 years before finding the humans. By the time Halo CE-3 takes place, the Brutes had only spent 50 years as pert of the Covenant, that isn't even a single whole generation.

Thats me, vile and obsene

it will be foreshadowed but not in a civil war type of way, we'll see more of that in the remakes of halo 1 and 2

Beat me to it. But that would be cool to see the ripples that begin a chain reaction leading to the full out Civil War.

dont forget the civil war hadnt started by odst, and you see elites killed by brutes. truth had probably already put his plans in motion. mabey you find brutes on a secret mission from him, like odst. reach is only a year or so earlyer than halo 3
