You can't kill what's dead.
Stand. Fight. Resist. S2F.
I just had a quick thought about being able to learn about your enemies. I thought it would be cool if Bungie implemented into the Halo: Reach's theater mode (I don't think we need it to be confirmed to know it's going to be in it) a sort of enemy backstory thing. Essentially, you snap a picture of someone you kill, then you log on to Bungie.net and you can read a backstory for the guy you kill. I don't know how they'd do it, but a system that randomly generates appropriate names and appropriate backstories would be pretty cool.
Something like this:
"(INSERT NAME HERE) joined the Covenant ranks in (YEAR HERE). He was killed by (INSERT PLAYER NAME HERE) during the First Battle of Reach by (INSERT WEAPON OR MEANS OF KILL HERE)."
Obviously that wouldn't be the final product, but you get the picture.
And people are probably going to be all like, "How could Bungie generate a million different backstories?" Well, if they start working on it now, they could make a good system that generates stories from select sentences. Sure, enemies might have the same backstory, but you'll never know because it's somebody else's enemy. And it's not like EVERY enemy you kill has a backstory, it's only the ones you snap pics of. It would be interesting if let's say you snap a pic of two Brutes, their story will intertwine. Maybe they're in the same brute pack.
But Bungie would need to start working on it now. A name generator is incredibly easy, but a story generator would need sentences that can link together no matter what order they're put in...which takes plenty of work.
