its a in house engine often just called the "halo engine"
no tech demo has been shown

not much has been said other than the virtual space shader (cant remember what its called) that they used in ODST for there windows was most likely going to be used.
but other than that you can almost be sure it will have the follow:
normal mapping, bump mapping
, parallax mapping, some for of real time shadows on dynamic objects and what im mainly interested in knowing is if they move away from using static shadow mapping on there terrain.
EDIT: oh and im sure they will have there kick ass HDR lighting engine in again because that was just a masterpiece in halo 3

Capability:similar to the change from Halo 2 to Halo 3, an engine that will hopefully add rain into gameplay.
dude your getting yourself way to hyped up, a change like that cant be pulled on the same hardware
