I don't want Brutes, hammer, or grifball(so boring)!

Who cares, The hammer is not that great and griff ball sucks worse then owning a PS3...

brute weren't apart of the battles of reach so their probably not in the campaign.

Wherever you roam
so far from home
you'll be safe from peril
life threatening and terrible
if you avoid David Powel
and keep track of your towel.

Well, not necessarily.

I really see no reason why Bungie would not include Brutes though, the whole "Brutes were never seen until Operation: First Strike" thing has been officially retconned by Contact Harvest, Halo Wars, and The Babysitter.

no Elites meant no Sword in ODST

hammer is still a unique weapon that plays a fun role in custom games and some social/ranked play list

  • 11.10.2009 7:05 PM PDT

Thats whats up

i agree griffball is not that great but fun from time to time
so i hope the hammer is back
and fun to hit rockets as well

  • 11.10.2009 7:07 PM PDT

Damn you 353 guilty spark! You killed the greatest stereotypical african american gun toting sergeant ever to tread upon a fictional futuristic setting!

It could still be in multiplayer. I am figuring that the Elites will be the main enemy in the campaign, which means you will be seeing much more of the energy sword.

MM isn't canon. I seriously doubt they would remove the Hammer from MM becuase the Campaign didn't have it.

We only saw ONE point of view from the ground battle of Reach. Fred's, in First Strike. I highly doubt this game will follow his POV, as it simply would not make a good game, and Bungie would be limited in their scope; we will probably be playing as some of the as-of-now unnamed Spartans, so Bungie can add Brutes if they want. Our story would be parallel to the novel story.

Energy Sword kills the Gravity Hammer!

No information whatsoever has been released on Reach, how do you know there will be no Brutes?Posted by: SASQU4TCH 1

No way in hell was The Babysitter canon, and Halo Wars, they probably werent able to report them to the UNSC just like they couldnt report the Flood.

Werent Brutes just given a behind-the-scenes working job until the Great Schism?

What? Guarding a logistics base is to "frontlines" for you?

Someday I'm going to make a giant post about canon and continuity, clear up all the facts and highlight all the retcons. In fact I think I'll start on that now.

I personally never use the hammer. It just isn't my style, the same with the energy sword. I don't think bungie will take it out of the multiplayer though. I think the most interesting part of Halo Reach is the fact that the game will take place during the war against the covenant, Halo 3 took place at the climax of the conflict, but since Reach will be during the build up to that climax, there should be more weapons in this game than any other.

  • 11.10.2009 7:48 PM PDT

Were it so easy.

I want an improved version.

QFT (And because it made me rofl... hahaha!!)

Fatum Iustum Stoltorum.

Seeing as how I feel the hammer is inferior to the sword, I wouldn't really care if it was or wasn't in the game. And I hope that there aren't any brutes to ruin the campaign. Again.
