Your squad has just been eliminated, your vehicle destroyed, out of ammo who do you call?

Should this feature be in Halo: Reach

Well the norm for the Halo games has been, that support (ammo, vehicles, etc.) has always been provided at predecided locations and events.

Would add a new facet of gameplay during the campaign or even multiplayer.

They sound like good ideas, but are most likely very complicated to produce.

Is this for multiplayer or for campaign?

If it is for campaign, if your squad got elminated, its your own damn fault, and you shouldn't get a "get out of death free card" by spawning more meatshields.

If it is for multiplayer, I don't want a bunch of weak and wimpy AIs trying to fight my enemy and giving them free kills. And in addition I shouldn't have a "get out of death free card" by spawning more meatshields.

In other words, I don't think your idea will work.

Stupid ass washing machine...

Shouldn't be too complicated - worked fine in Halo Wars when you needed to hot-drop ODSTs :)

If it's engineered and played right, then no problem. Just makes the AIs awesome.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I think that having the ability to call in something like this is a poor fit. In times past you are more often than not reinforced at certain points anyway, if you cannot kill fast enough to keep those fools alive, then it should be on your heads.

im one second from taking this to the next level.

This would either make the game too easy because it's too effective, or pointless because it's not effective enough. Not liking this idea. Play Halo Wars. Then you can add backup to your heart's content.

Love that song.

As for calling for backup, it's only as effective as the kind of backup you call for, and the time you call for it. Which makes any battle more tactical, depending on the difficulty, and the strenght of any support AI.

All these factors would be taken into consideration to make it work. The point of the topic was to see, how popular the idea is.
