Subject: So what do you think about 'perks'?

this idea has been brought up before and i agree. if call of duty and halo combine their ideas they can make the greatest game ever(not to mention the MOST MONEY EVER!!)
Bungie and Infinity Wards fusion...forming Bungie Wards...or Binity Wards...or...Infinite Bungie.....I don't know. These two companies are very successful in delivering great games. If they were to merge, the government might step in and consider them a monopoly cause that's how good they'd become.

Please, no.

Infinity Ward is way too hyped. Ok, Modern Wafare (and probably 2) are good games, but the first two are just ok in my book. Great level design but very average gameplay, there isn't a single satisfying difficulty level.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

Perks are like reusable equipment with cool down times. It wouldn't feel like CoD at all.

call of halo 4 reach warfare

yeah great[sarcasm]

hum, let's see...
take one of the best mp game out there (cod 4).
mix it with the most played game on the xbl (halo).

will the result A) blow or B) rock?
[/sarcasm toward your sarcasm]

it wont be halo if they add perks.
here is a idea we will add aliens into cod.
besides most noobs would be using the same perks as mlg players then that stuff is getting over used and irritating , so i say stick to halo.

what's halo exactly?
is halo halo because of of MC? no... HW and odst.
is halo halo because of the halo rings? no... H3 and odst and HW.

back in H2's time, if you had said "hey guys, let's add equipments. there would be like, a cover, a regenarator and a shield drainer. wha do you think?" people would have said the same thing. "omg itz not halo!!11!". and today it IS halo.

fresh things = good.
I don't want to play halo 3.5...

first of all h3 did had a halo ring but you probably never madit to the last level.
second equipment was NEW not something that a other game had.
the only thing i would aprove would be race extras.
like spartans can jump higher and elites can go faster or the other way around witch sounds more reasonable when talking about a heavy cyborg jumping in the air

I agree with both your points. I think both Halo 3 and COD4 are both brilliant games and incomparable to each other. Both came up with great ideas on how to advance a first person game to be more inneractive and fun, it all really depends on your preferance. Example: I play more COD4 just for the simple fact you can run.

Two good things combined do not always make a better thing.

For example, puppies are good.
So are swords.
But puppies impaled with swords are...

...bad example.

Ive played both Halo 3 and COD4 on hardest difficulties and COD4 was way harder, so trying to use 'lack of difficulty' making a game more worthy of notice becomes moot at this point.

I agree. Its how I feel with if halo had the ability to sprint. It would be a mechanic from COD4 and other FPS' but the look feel and weapons would still very much be Halo. Something people forget about Halo is it isnt as much the gameplay that makes it amazing but the world.....wait Im sorry, that was my opinion...I guess it depends on who you are.

JBat

I also agree on both point combining the games may be a bust or it could be very awesome.

My aguement that halo should have perks is basically the only reason I played COD for so long was it kept me interested by having the ability to unlock new and better perks.

But my aguements against it is; for one it could be terrible, two I want to play the Halo series not the Cod series, and three it would make the difference between the noobs and experts screwed up, I like it the way it is now.

I know I have contradicted myself, but I will be down with what ever Bungie decides on.

Signatures are for squares.

They aren't called perks. Even the supposed leaker stated that.

However, He wasn't clear on if you pick them up in game, like equipment, or choose to start with them.

I'm totally with you there, the only reason I played COD4 for a while was because I could choose my perks and starting weapons.

But I got sick of it after getting killed by three bullets time and time again...

I was talking about pre-MW. And I never talked about its lacked of difficulty, I said it wasn't satisfying. CoD2 was never that immersive, either it was too easy, or it was unrealistically hard. I mean, when you're waiting for someone to pop is head up and got shot dead in a matter of miliseconds when he does... The game was too much of a shooting gallery, I could never really feel under fire and be able to react in a great way.
