Silencers are best used in stealth situations. When a gigantic war is happening across an entire planet and its surrounding atmosphere, there's no real reason to use one.

Dual wielding supressed weapons...

Neehhhheerrrrrgh-Bah

Sorry. No.

I can't picture it.

I actually wished that the Supressed SMG did what the function was intended for in ODST. Hide where the shots were coming from.

Instead it's just a scopable AR that tells every idiot Grunt, Jackal, Brute and Hunter within three blocks of your position to run to you and beat your face in.

They should bring back the silenced SMG but remove the silencer, but keep the scope.

See you on the battlefield.

I don't see why not. It works pretty good in the CMT campaign mod for Halo CE, and could also be found in Halo 2 Vista.

Sure, they were only issued to ODST units, but would that stop the player from say, weapon swapping with them? No.

Now if that silencer would actually work correctly...

No. I don't think a silenced yet extremely rapid fire weapon is all that realistic.

I do, however, like the scope. It simulates how you can use an assault weapon with a bit more accuracy at distance by using short trigger bursts.

Feel free to bring in ODST's pistol though. That would be a perfect starting weapon. Not overpowered at all, yet headshot capable.

I'm not sure if I would sac the Mangum for the Automag. My impression is that the damage isn't comparable between the two.

Well, it did have a reflex scope, better accuracy, and longer range.. so why not have it back? Just don't make it dual weild able. Also include the non-tactical version of it for dual weilding.

Damn you 353 guilty spark! You killed the greatest stereotypical african american gun toting sergeant ever to tread upon a fictional futuristic setting!

I prefer the loud and proud approach. I wouldn't care if they did put it in the game though.
