Subject: halo's biggest problem

Sheilds of course.

sheilds make you a big badass

every post ive been at is asking for a emence action packed battlefield.

well given halos health system its impossible.

halos health system only allows you to fight small petrols of enemies at a time.

rush, retreat, reload, reposition, repeat.

halo's five "R" rules

thats why we cant have big battlefields that feel like a battlefield and act like a battlefield.

feel free to argee/argue

and how!

So what you're saying is, take away our shielding and make us directly vulnerable to bodily injury from enemy fire and then we can take on hundreds of enemies at once?

You logic is impenetrable.

  • 11.12.2009 5:43 PM PDT

Halo without Bungie is like a cookie made without love.

i think shields are the best balanced solution for multi player games ._.
oh and you misspelled shield as sheild

  • 11.12.2009 5:44 PM PDT

then we would be like stupid humans

play SWAT.

Signatures are for squares.

The shielding is what makes halo stand out against the other 345 war games. Halo has shields, which means when you get shot first, you have a chance to turn around, and nail a 4 shot/no scope on a person, and still live. It stops games from being "2/3 bullet kills" like in CoD, or rainbow six.

It's one of the few things that makes Halo's multiplayer balanced and unique.

im not talking multiplayer i could care less about that

but for campaign and such

i know my spelling is off im working off an ebook (small keyboards)

and maybe just exttend our life without sheilds

not call of duty and not halo CE.somewhere in the middle.

i dont want us to be tottaly usless after we lose our sheilds.

yet not have to look around for health packs for ever

ok why would i be on here if COD health is what i wanted?

im talkin a health system thats based off of maybe earlier spartan armour. but no so primitive as the marines

ODST had Shields.

It was called Stamina but it had the same dam function.

I'm sorry to hear that.

However. Three to four sentences grouped together isn't considered a Wall O' Text.

It's a paragraph.

im one second from taking this to the next level.

Halo's biggest problem has been, and always will be, the people in matchmaking.

well sorry for my disabilities and habits.
see? ill work on that from now on.
ever heard of double spaced paragraphs?
but anyway like i wassaying ODSTs health system was getting close but had the similar 5R rule to it only with an added health bar to worry about.
im just saying add more dammage resistance tottaly lose or make the sheilds in to a crappy stamina of some sort

How would having finite health instead of infinite make the player able to fight more enemies?

  • 11.12.2009 6:04 PM PDT

somewhere, somehow, a Bungie Dev is crying because he posted this.
(IF A BUNGIE EMPLOYEE REPLYS THIS I WILL LOVE LING LING) lol XD

Halo CE did an amazing job (for its time) with the Covies vs Flood encounters.

The reason CE did so well with its shield system is because in a lot of the flood levels there was absolutely no cover. also teh shields took longer to recharge.

I agree, can't believe I never thought of this. But CoD, Rainbow Six, and a many other FPS's have regenerating health much like the shields so it's not only Halo's problem, the alternative of not having a rechargeable shield will make the game much harder. And the shield is one of Halo's signature trademarks, without the shield Halo becomes too similar to other games
