I ♥ Bungie!

soposably yes. and the only reason i say that is becouse you can play with your xbox 360 controler if you plug it in to your tower. But it is very good you should try the trial versoin first.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

The game was ported to Vista from the Xbox, patched once to remove some nudity, and promptly abandoned. It seems to work for some people, but it didn't work right for me. The controls were terrible, and finding a game online usually didn't work. There is no stats tracking, so none of your games appear on Bungie.net. Finally, if you have problems with the game, you might be able to get a refund from MS. They don't seem to want to release any updates.

On the bright side, if it does work, you can get nicer graphics than on Xbox.

Graphics are not a significant improvement.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Well, Halo 2 xbox matchmaking is down, while halo 2 pc's online is still up. Also, Halo 2 PC gives you gamerscore.

This is an old account iDarkWint3r is my new Bungie.net user.

But First let's demonstrate the inability for Halo 2 Vista:

-Does not have co-op like Halo 2 Xbox does
-Does not have Ranked matches are Matchmaking like Halo 2 Xbox does in the old days...
-Map editor blows nutsack and it's very difficult to comprehend which you need to goto H2Vmaps.halomaps.org to download a tutorial(you can't even make single player maps with AI)
-Controller has a Auto-aim built in....Gives an unfair bit of advantage to the Mouse and keyboard player. And what PC FPS game has auto-aim with a controller?

There are still alot of problems with the game...So yeah I do not recommend buying the game it's not worth your $40.Stick with Halo PC it's well worth your $20.

Personally,I think Halo 1's campaign is the best of the series.

1. It's a map editor, your not supposed to do stuff like making AI maps like you could in Halo CE.
2. It's not really that hard to make maps in. It's just as "hard" as it is to make them in Halo CE.

I agree with #1. You're really not supposed to be able to make maps. Btw, where would I be able to download a trial version 'cause it sounds like a lot of fun. :)

Map editors are hard to use, if you dont know what u r doing.
Also, h2pc is now $20

Oh, and if you think h2pc is trash than wait till u see mw2 pc with no map editor, matchmaking only, and hackers/aimbotters/wallhackers.

My honest opinion: Halo 2 is at the bottom of the series (Halo,2,3 &ODST)but still worth getting as long as you dont mind that there's not really too many players on it.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

H2v is a terrible game for a number of reasons. Microbungiesoft should be ashamed for allowing the game to be released as it was.

The mouse doesn't work.

The controller has built in aimbot.

So basically this was a PC game made impossible to play on the PC without a controller.

Morons.

The mouse works perfectly, if it doesnt, turn vsync on or buy a new mouse.

If you think the controller is unfair, then buy one or stop complaining.

So basically this IS a game that works flawlessly on both Xbox and PC.

Peace

Turned on vsync. Got mouse lag. Bought a new mouse. Nothing changed. Speak for yourself instead of falsely stating that the game will work for everybody.

You really bought a new mouse just because of this? I'm not being a smartass or anything just curious.

I really did. I guess it was the principle of the thing. All in all I tried 3 mice, including a Creative Labs gaming mouse, and none made any difference in the controls. Something in the engine stalls mouse input when the frame rate gets too high. I found a program that I used to limit the frame rate 20 about 60 FPS and that solved the problem, for me anyway.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

This wasn't the funny part. No, this is just a fanboy trying to defend a game that's really undefendable.

This is what made me lol. I can't believe that there are people who seriously think H2 works "flawlessly" on the PC. It's nothing short of mind-numbingly stupid.

When I play my mouse works fine (Cause I put it on 10 sensitivity,But I still get lots of kills with the sniper and BR)I'm not defending this game,I'm defending Halo CE!FTW :3

Halo 2 Vista isn't even worth $20, I and anyone else, should be paid to play that game.

hey, DusK, Halo 2 Vista sucks so much, you can explain in great detail. lol.

I'm glad I amuse people and I gladly defend any game I think is worth it's price, but I wont start arguing over a game because it's a neithers benefit so you might as well stop provoking me into doing that (that is if you are provoaking, that's how I took it anyway).

n357: That's usually caused by image tearing and that again is usually fixed by turning on vsync as long as the refresh rate is 60Hz. That worked for me anyway

I would use vsync, but it introduces input lag, so one problem for another.
