There is nothing wrong with Halo:Reach. We all just have our gripes about everything we don't like. Not liking something doesn't make it broken.

your right. i was going a bit far there, with the whole "decapitation" thing. but i still believe gore could add more depth to the game. picture an elite pressing a marine against a wall, and taking him apart with an energy sword. put some fear back in the game, and make me go "-blam!- AWESOME" or "DAMN BIATCH YOU GOT DEAD" when i get a headshot.
You get that feeling with or without violence. Just because you can't take a leg off or spill some blood...That, to me, seems like a silly thing to desire.
If anything it is too common. Halo is free of it and I really hope Bungie and anyone making any future Halo games doesn't actually go the violent route. It just isn't necessary for a feeling of pride or fun.
I don't play Halo 3 with the desire to 'feel fear' as you seem to have put it. I play Halo to spam frags, clean up with BR and try to get some laughs in between matches.
