You'd think they'd address the entire tom morrello deal by now. We're not retarded, and all this ignorance of a major reach development is really lame. Why doesn't the weekly update address/acknowledge the biggest halo news in months?

  • 11.13.2009 3:01 PM PDT

Because they don't have to if they don't want to?

  • 11.13.2009 3:02 PM PDT

I wish I was still legendary.

Maybe because the game isn't in a presentable state yet?

They don't have any obligation to write the weekly update, be glad you even get one - no matter how little stuff is in there.

Oh, and they said something was coming around christmas. No idea what, but 'bungie santa' is on his way.

Because Bungie will release it when they're good and ready.

  • 11.13.2009 3:05 PM PDT

To be honest, Bungie Santa sounds scary

  • 11.13.2009 3:06 PM PDT

What spectagon are you in?

Because they want us to see there game when it's finished being polished and looking it's best.

It was better than nothing.

seriously the update didn't say anything at all. I would prefer nothing to an update ignoring the elephant in the room.

This thread is epic...

Just be patient. The info will be here soon. The game isn't coming out for another year, so there's not a whole lot they can tell us about it without spoiling too much too soon.

I agree that the line of updates that have been rolling out, many could care less. The latest update, only thing that was even considered decent was the picture. Then again, what can they do? Here is what they can do, keep most of those working on Halo: Reach, have a few guys that can be spared, to take time looking at all the material us players have made, grab some pictures, videos and maps and put them in updates more often. I skim through pretty much all the updates and the only thing that catches my eye are things of interest that pertain to Halo 3&Halo: Reach, nothing else.

The leaked screenshots are either fake, or part of an alpha build, either way, it will bear little similarity to the final game.

  • 11.13.2009 3:43 PM PDT

Yes, really

why would they? a good part of the halo community doesnt know about the TM pics.

"Everyone, fire at Will!"
"Why? What did Will ever do to you?"

Am I the only one that noticed that they confirmed Vidmaster challenges in Reach in this update?

Ah, no there isn't.

  • 11.13.2009 3:53 PM PDT

Microsoft does not comment on rumours or speculation.

Bungie would get in trouble if they did.

They were talking about ODST.

Ah, no there isn't.

Sixth paragraph. The test team finished their "hojillionth" run of the vidmasters. Maybe he meant the current ones?

To Kurty: That would probably make more sense. But it's odd that the TEST TEAM is doing vidmasters that don't need testing.

I see.. I read you last post wrong, lol. I thought you said that Bungie confirmed what the vidmasters are on Reach. Not just that they confirmed that they are going to be ones. If this is true, perhaps there is some sort of bonus item to acquire? Hopefully our customization of our character doesn't glitch as often or not at all, what's the point in having it if it's just going to revert to default most of the time?

Oh, and they said something was coming around christmas. No idea what, but 'bungie santa' is on his way.

Its reach info obviously.

Fact: To play the Reach beta, one must buy ODST.

Fact: The holidays are a time of year when people buy things they don't need.

Conclusion: To boost sales for ODST, Microsoft and Bungie will release major information about the gameplay of the beta by late november to mid december to boost sales of ODST over the holidays as parents rush out to buy copies of the game so their childerkins can play the beta when it comes out.
