ODSTs before Spartans

Many of you probably know that Reach might use Natal. I have a great idea that would work with Natal.

This would need it's own playlist to be able to do this fairly.

How it works that Bungie makes a gun that works with natal, so natal understands it. Say you have the gun, for it to work, is that it needs to be wireless. To move there will be a joystick similar to the Wii Zapper. To change grenades there will be button(LB) Like under the gun where you hold the handle at. To reload just shoot off screen. It would have to be basic gametype for it to work, so that's why it should have it's own playlist.
Reason I like this idea is that it would be diffrent and fun. Maybe get new fans to the game. Ideas are welcome.

There is nothing wrong with Halo:Reach. We all just have our gripes about everything we don't like. Not liking something doesn't make it broken.

No.

More bacon strips!

Keep motion controls out of my games please, I don't want them and I don't need them! I'm all for the technology that Natal use but not in my games.

It's on a lot of community maps. Affinity, Think Twice, Abridged...

I meant good maps

I doubt Natal will be ready in time for Reach.

Also it's been siad that it will only cost 50$

I don't see natal mixing with Halo.
Not many gamers will like this idea so I'd think Bungie will leave it alone.

I doubt natal will even work at all. The same thing has been done before and it's never worked that great.

Well. I have two good reasons. Originally I wasn't going to post twice, but you took my post in stride and I respect that.

Reason 1: Natal is probably going to cost a boatload and Bungie happens to love us more then to require us to use experimental stuff like that in a game that they say will be epic.

Much could go wrong fast and if any of it did it would ice the whole game. Get what I'm saying? Not good to risk their last Halo games playability on whether or not Natal will work properly.

Reason 2: I don't believe, same as more then a few others, that violent games of any form should be allowed to become fully motion controlled.

Sure, you and me may be alright playing violent games. We may even still be perfectly right headed after using Natal on a violent game, but what happens when the one lunatic kid somewhere loses his cool? You may not think a motion controlled gun could teach you much, but if you were to takes Halo, or even worse, CoD and make it motion controlled the only thing the kid would be missing out on is how to deal with recoil in most cases.

Sure, sounds silly, it should. But this is more real then anyone wants it to be. Not everyone can handle violent games holding just a controller, they become easy to agitate and usually a bit more violent. Would you really want that person to feel any more immersed in the game? I wouldn't. Too much could go wrong too easy, and if any thing did some poor guy somewhere could end up injured or worse.

That is why Halo wont be Natal enabled.

I respect your response. The thing is Bungie has stated that Reach might use natal in someway. I thought this could be something diffrent and fun. I understand what could happen with that. But they say that violent games make killer. Not true if the kid was raised well and was tought right from wrong no problem. Also Bungie could just add a warning to it saying that: This may be to real for some viewers to handle. Thanks for the reply.

Interesting. I'll try looking for where they said it in a bit. Maybe it'll be Grifball or Swords, that would be interesting.

Anyhow, if you pay any attention to the way the media handles these things you know that no one blames the kid or the parents because it is simply easier to blame games.

The kid could have planned years ahead and played Natal once and everyone would point to the game.

We'll see. I am not entirely for it and I sincerely hope that it will be a very, very minor role. Gameplay wise, I would almost assuredly just dislike whatever it could offer an FPS.

and you are right, Videogames wont make a man kill a man, but they CAN and HAVE blurred the line between reality and fantasy in weaker minds in the past. It has happened, even if it is unlikely. Allowing people to delve even deeper? You'd almost double the chances.

Actually, I was more thinking 'Hurt themselves'.

Once, a kid who played a lot of CoD4 managed to shoot himself and his best freind in the leg because they were trying to mimic a scene from the game.

You never know what injury could come from Halo, a kid could grenade himself, or worse, he could kill himself trying to frag a bubble shield.

Heh...

Halo 3: ODST = $30

Halo and Natal and/or 3D do not need to be together. Ever.

Here ya go.
Bungie also received an early look at the "Project Natal" motion-sensing controller Microsoft is developing for the Xbox. Studio President Harold Ryan said he's enthusiastic about the device and it could be used in "Reach," another version of "Halo" expected in the fall of 2010. "I absolutely think 'Reach' could be enabled with it," he said.

Your welcome. You got to think what could Bungie actually use Natal for? That's why this might have potential to be great.

Maybe for the voice or even flipping through menus, but not gameplay. Halo is too precise for that.
