Subject: Weather/Climate conditions on Reach?

Does anyone else think that there should or will be different kinds of weather shown in the game? Halo 2 multiplayer even had snow (original of blackout - apologies, the name escapes me) the sun glinted in Zanzibar etc. I know it's not much but it looks better and in some cases brings more atmosphere to the game. What's everyones thoughts?

Yeah, a more zomphagontric atmosphere and area-effecting weather conditions/digital area affects is a sound idea.

I was hopeing for heavy rain in ODST, that and a few other little things could have made ODST by far the best game in the series.

Heavy rain in Halo Reach was you are looking out over the burning planet would be epic.

How about a freezing hail that rips away at your health whenever you stand out in the open, forcing you to jump from covered are from covered area...

No, joking. Halo isn't Gears of War. Furthermore that place didn't make sense. It could punch through your armor but not through the thin metal roofing above your head?

On topic, I'd like to see some lava environments, as unrealistic as it is because nobody in their right mind would build anything of importance next to a flow of lava.

If Reach ends up having a full blow map creator, then we could do it ourselves. :)

yes they should put more weather and climates into the levels and multiplayer maps

See you on the battlefield.

It would be good if there was more variety in scenery and weather. ODST was a film noir mostly, and Halo 3 had either jungle/base or flood. Not much else.
A bit more interaction with the enviroment would be great. Have more animals and insects, as well as rain and thuderstorms. Wading through a swamp with stunning light visuals and greenery which you can interact, like ability to shoot a tree down.
Maybe have a mission where you actually have to create a road block to ambush some covanent, basically cutting trees down and creating hiding spots.
And visuals like COD 4 wouldn't be so bad...
Maybe have a massive world where you can take any path you choose to get to the target, and randomly banshees fly over, which you can take out, or leave alone. Choice i think should be a critical factor in Reach. ODST you could choose to kill the engineers or not, so more choices like these with differen endings.
And try to keep it in the Halo cannon. Still no engineers (yet, chronolgcally) and only normal hunters. Making the last Halo game an epic ultimate classic would be awesome.
Seriously though, add weather conditions in.

Yea I agree with u- maybe what would be cool is if instead of the guardians killing you with weapons n stuff, they'll kill you by weather. Maybe an avalanche or something...

Some very good ideas here you might not be far wrong with lava and thunderstorms considering the whole "glassing the planet" thing. These ideas in the campaign and multiplayer would be pretty lush.

See you on the battlefield.

It would also be interesting for there to be more "active" things in multiplayer, like ground shifting or base fortifications and more activity, like more opeing gates and windows.
