Subject: Should Halo Reach Have Equitment

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

That was one of the biggest problems with odst
I completely agree.
how
Did you play firefight?

Because in all the games of Firefight I play, I really hurt for regenerators, bubble shields, and portable cover.

well i dont know maybe marines and ODSTs just can't use it now that i think of it i have never seen a marine or ODST use any or pick up any type of equipment?

I love my pancakes [:

the equipment was a hell of a good idea it wouldnt be r8 if they took it away

i remember on one thread something about a speed boosting one and one that gives you back protection(no ninja kills shots on back etc) i like those ideas

I dont know what Equitment is

Are you an idiot? Equitment is where you use something to automatically show a fancy way of showing your Character multiplayer model to leave the game by a pelican.
Basically what you do is press X when you have the Equitment item.

God it's like no ones even played Reach yet.

you fail so much!!!

I guess it's true since you have the Panda Avatar and because you said so.

I have one question I want answered... which faction invented which equipment? except for the grav lift, none of the equipment looks human, covie, or 4runner made... it looks like they were copy and pasted from a different game!

That could be it, though I don't like it.

Marines and ODSTs don't use equipment in Halo 3 campaign, probably because the AI is so bad they didn't want to mess up players even more.

For example, Brutes will throw power drainers through their squadmates and miss you.

But for Multiplayer, I want it in. I don't particularly care if it is in Campaign mode or not.

Edit:
The spheres (power drainer, flare, jammer) all have the hide wraps of the Spiker handle, so I think they are brute. Same thing with the grav lift and portable cover.

I think Humans developed the regenerator and the bubble shield, since the Bubble shield is the same color as MJOLNIR armor shields and Chief used it in the original trailer.

I know that the trip mine is human.

anyways I don't think it would make any sense to have equipment in halo reach because it wasn't in halo 1 or even halo 2 and halo reach takes place before halo 1
They had land mines throughout the series.

They also didn't introduce the BR until Halo 2, so by your reasoning it shouldn't be in the game either. Or the Gauss Warthog. Or Dual Wielding.

ok well dual weilding is common sense hold one gun in this hand... and one gun in the other, Im saying the equipment wasn't in any other games, which tells me it probably wasn't researched, also instead of the Gauss warthog they could have the rocket warthog that was in halo 1 for PC. And they could introduce an older version of the br if its really that important

Reach was a giant UNSC shipyard. There are probably a large variety of weapons that were stored there that we never saw in-game.
