Subject: Brutal Scene and more like this *UPDATED*

Stop destroying the environment, get of that computer and go into your backyard and build a nuclear powerplant...

:)

New Version, I have took in everything you said and updated it. Hope you like it.

You and one other Spartan are went on a dangerous mission to scout the covenet stronghold for the attack later tonight, they are looking for any vehicles, turrets and anything of of the ordinary. After taking a good looks they dont see anything then you turn around to see the dead body of the other Spartan looking up at you with his visor smashed. You look up to see 2-3 brute chieftans looking at you wanting blood, now...
They charge and hit you twice in the stomach just missing you by a dead on hit, you hit the floor then one of the chieftans punch you in the face breaking your visor. They pick you up and drag you into the stronghold by your arms OR legs( you decide) When there in they punch you and kick you then try and brake of your armour but fail and only get half of it of and leave the over half in pieces. And take you into a theatre like part of the building ( I scraped the marine killing) Where you see brutes and some grunts cheering and grunting, then some elites looking are at you from the side in disgust. They drag you into the middle and spit of your head, they chuck you onto the wall and put chains around your hands and tie you against the wall. you look up to see the moons light shining down you, the brute chieftan walks up to you then takes a pike from the elite and gives him a dirty look, then the elite walks of in anger. The brute them looks back at you, and starts to raise the pike, he turns his attention back to you then thrusts the pike into your stomach but he stops, looks up at you and says "Aaa A silent one have we? I WILL MAKE YOU SCREAM!!" The chieftan shouts right in your face. Then he jams the pike in your stomach but not the full way though because a siren goes of and elite, brute and grunts all grab there guns and get to battle positions. The brute looks at you and says "I'll be back later..." He grabs his gravity hammer and runs into the battle happening outside. You look down towards the pike as the bleeding starts to stop. A grunt runs in front of you and starts to dance and chant you cant get me now! Not so tough now are ya? You here the slam of a door and the grunt looks across to be met by a perfectly placed bullet to the head, you look see a squad of Spartans running across and looking at you and says "DUDE? what the hell have these basterds done to you?!?!" He unlocks the chains and pulls out the pike as the other spartans secure the flanks. They call down a pelican to get you back to safety. Your screen goes black as you enter the pelican. You here the spartan saying something "Doc, is he going to make it?" The medic pauses and speaks slowly "It would be a miracle if he makes it back to the ship..." Silence...

You wake up in a the hospital inside a battle ship looking down on Reach, the other spartans (Out of armour) run up to you and say "HE MADE IT! Damn dude your one lucky son of a -blam!-!" The medic walks in and checks the heart monitor and says"Wow, he made a full recovery!" The spartan says "Come on dude we need all the men we got down there its getting hot..." They lift you up and walk you into a armoury and come to a GIANT steal door with a number pin pad on it. The spartan walkes over to the door and enters in the pin as all the bolts unlock and the door opens slowly. You enter to see a glass cabinet with spartan armour in "Thats your armour, we managed to fix it from since the stronghold" He then hands you a gun and says "Remember this baby?"
you say "Oh ya..." you get out the armour and try it on and walk outside the armoury the girl spartan looks at you and says "Looking gooood" A Spartan then runs in and says "Quit the love, we got work" he leads you into a room looking over Reach as you walk in you go and look over Reach and then it plays that epic yet slow music to go with it as it shows the true scale of Reach. You turn around and walk back to the table where the squad leader presses a button underneath the table and on comes a holographic projection of the battle field on the table. The leader points to a deep cave in the side of a cliff and says "This is where the last transmission came from, they reported alot of covenet and a phantom forced them to retreat into the cave. And squad of ODST'S was dropped down to try and bust them out of there but they where knocked of course by a anti aircraft gun. He then points to the outskirts of the battlefield and says "Scout these areas for any ODST's the more of you the better your chances are. This isnt going to be easy they reported alot more covenet the usual. There pointing everything into that cave its alot more serious then i thought. Watch out snipers took out majority of there men. He tried to get in air support but anti aircraft guns ripped them apart. Your there only hope. He then points to the cave as it comes into colour and zooms out to show the battle, the pelican drops you off way out of anti air craft guns. the driver drops you of and says "Good luck" Then in a faint voice he says "Your going to need it..."

Ideas?

not a bad idea it would work if you were captured during some part of the game

  • 11.14.2009 1:48 PM PDT

It would make more sense if the executioner was a Brute.

Yeah.
But that's not saying I don't want Elites SOMEWHERE in the game.

Everywhere, actually. I want to be one again...

Elites aren't bloodthirsty..
Yes maybe there not but you would kill someone you dont know, they killed lots of your friends and fellow people from your race you would be angry and what if you life was at risk. And if its about the crowd i didnt intend for elites to be in it cheering i thought maybe there at the side not looking or just talking and not taking about interest in the exaction. The crowd is oppose to be full of brutes and some grunts who dont care as much but the brutes and brutal because of the berserk style of offence and defence would make them bloodthirsty.

Thats what i first thought was but i then i thought an elites energy would be a more brutal way to finish of a enemy the whole idea was to give him a slow painful death not just a slam with a gravity hammer or maybe instead of an elite it can be a brute shots blade instead? Or maybe a whole new melee weapon?

I like that idea a lot more! I just think they should be disgusted in the Brutes primitive methods, and just be standing in the background, arms crossed.

And Energy Sword isn't actually brutal- infact, it's kinda elegant like a Lightsaber. The most brutal way would be with the back of the Grav Hammer, where that massive blade is- like what that Chieftain did to Romeo in ODST- now that was harsh.

The Gravity Hammer does have a large blade on it. It was used by a Brute Chieftan in ODST to wound Romeo in a cutscene.

Oh i haven't played ODST yet so i didnt now and in brutal way i mean like sticking it inside someone and watching them die.

Shabam

I like the idea, but maybe instead of having him chained to the wall 2 elites take energy swords and stab them through your arms. It's a little more graphic, but it seems more "brutal" than before. I also agree that it should be either brutes or elites, but not both.

I dont think Elites and their Energy Swords have the soul to do something like that. Brutes and their Gravity Hammers, however, are a different story.

I have another idea.
Before you get captured you work past a prison and you see marines in there wounded and the brute turns around grabs you and says "DEMON! GO IN THERE AND BEAT THEM WITH YOUR BARE HANDS!! OR FACE IMMINENT DEATH!!" You turn around and look at the marines looking at you and shaking there heads telling you there have had a enough just finish us PLEASE! they screamed at you. You look you then look down take a deep breath then punch one of the marines killing him instantly you look at the other marine and he says "Just do it! Get it over with!" You punch him then turn around to one of the marines starting to charge you you hold you fist out as he runs into smashing his head into the fist killings him. You turn around and look at the brute then look back at the marines you just brutally killed. And take another deep breath.
Ideas?

I dont think a Spartan would ever do anything like that.

Good point. But IT IS life or death. Marines who are going to die inside the prison or a powerful 7ft killing machine that could change the entire war and save thousands of people.

  • 11.14.2009 2:24 PM PDT

But the Spartan would know they will kill him/her anyway, so why do it??

He COULD have a chance of survival and, maybe he knows that what if he KNEW about the attack on the stronghold, he was captured when he was surveying the stronghold for entry points how many turrets and vehicles they have and when he got captured he didnt want to kill them but the marines wanted him too it was the only choose he could not kill them walk outside and be killed. He has A LOT more lives on his shoulders because of his power.

And it could be the dark secret that he regrets all of his life, something that just keeps haunting him. And it could be a part of the campain.

He wouldnt have done it anyway, and how would a Spartan get captured?? If the Covenant ever did capture one, they would have killed him on the spot.

Perception is everything.

I can't believe none of you realize how much he ripped from the Halo 2 scene with the Arbiter.

The Arbiter was tried for not protecting Alpha Halo from destruction.

Thats where a got SOME of the idea was from. My first idea was that he gets captured and put in prison but killing him was more brutal. And does it matter if a ripped some of it out from the arbiter cutscene, that cutscene was cinematic and epic with a slice of emotion the perfect formula to a good cutscene and more like those would game the game brilliant.
