Just played 2 with the 360 update...is anyone else experiencing the (just long enough to be really annoying) "ghost images" that stay onscreen ?

On a similar note, does anyone else wish Bungie would render the H-3/ODST control scheme for H-2 ...Bumper reload, etc. ?

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

1. Yes, i got them in h2 and i think in some other game. That is not a good sign and that means a E74 is coming. Unusual snow in halo 3 and crashs in the xbox 360 dash is a another sign.
2. I'd rather have halo 3 to halo 2 style, but they wouldnt, as that would mean white and black button reload, which is awkward on the Controller S and clones (used a lot on Halo 2 online)

The 'ghost images' are common. The older machines have it the most. I suspect that if someone buys a new 360 and it gets those screen shadows, it is really an older (new) 360. It will go away sometimes when you enter a loadzone but it will definitely go away if you eject or turn off the box.

I don't think it necessarily means E-74 (GPU) problems although, again, if you have an older model you should cross your fingers and hope you never get red rings.

Ghost images on the screen when you play Halo 2 are the result of an emulator issue when you play on a 360. It has something to do with the backwards compatibility software used to run the game. You can usually make them go away when you hit a loading zone, restart a level, or turn off the game. They do NOT mean your box is about to die, nor are they a sign that you are gonna get the E74 error.

This used to be a serious problem in matchmaking with backwash. It would cause so much trouble for people playing because it would work fine on an xbox, but not on a 360. The result was lag, lots of lag in a game where at least one person was on a 360. Bungie stopped that by removing backwash from the playlist lineup.

Thanks Dr. W (and Grumpy) for the reassurance. I've found that updates are not always the greatest things ever...choose your experience.
