Being an M rated game, the amount of blood or graphicaly violent scenes just doesnt quite satisfy does it? (im talkin bout halo 3 here)
Change that for Reach i say. Ive got a few ideas to making the game look more... dark, bloody, n gritty but not too gory as most halo fans dont want it to be.

Even the smallest detail can add to an effect, you see. People say they dont want head popping gore with headshots. Understandable. Then y not just a tiny little animation of a spartans visor cracking and say a sudden gush of blood? It makes sense. It adds to the realism. It also gives satisfaction.

Same deal with the energy sword. Dont necessarily need to bring out the guts or cut the person in half after a slice. Maybe spray a bit of blood. And then a few sparks flying becuz u cut through armor n circuits. Maybe have the energy sword emit some sort of vapor after cutting through the armor. Make it seem like u actually cut someone.

Bulletholes wudnt be so bad either. Also bring back the blood pool from halo : CE like when u shoot/melee a dead corpse, realistically enuf, the blood pool grows. Also the needler should have a badass effect. When ot explodes, it should actually fling off a bit of armor chunks here and there. Same with frag grenades... If it is a fragg, where are the frags? I say make em more impactful n givw them a bigger punch.

The laser shud cut clean thru a person imo n even dismember. Plasma weapons should burn away armor with a blackening mold and tiny blue plasma blisters on the armor if possible. Plasma grenades shud dismember a body part depending where it got stuck. Vehicle kills shud also be adjusted. Reduce ragdoll effect cuz they are wearing half a ton of armor, arent they? Where is the sense of heavy in this game? Especially when people land from high places or get run over. N the colors of the halo world... Imo shud be adjusted into something darker, still keeping variety. Ever tried mixing fx effects on forge? Especially gloomy n juicy.. Some balance with that cud greatly make the game look both dark n colorful. (just a suggestion)

many other cinematic factors can make the game look more realistic.. like showing cracks, scars, dirt on the spartans. Maybe even show a brutally realistic face of one or two of em... Just to make us feel we arent controlling "plastic robot action figures".. Heres anidea.. Maybe even depolarize the visor like in odst to show some human within the spartan.

Well thats all the ideas i got so far. If u ppl have nemore, u are welcome to add or comment. Vote if u agree for changes or not. Thnx for reading.

Megan Fox is a whore.

Gigolo.

Yes, I've been wanting a darker Halo for a long time. Halo 3 disappointed me (Still a great game!)

But yeah. Darker Halo. 'nuff said
*Just search up the 'Et Tu, Brute?' viDoc

Though some of the ideas may kinda screw up in some ways.

I'm hoping for dismemberments... When I shoot an Elite or grunt in the head with my shotgun, I wanna see their head explode. Not the grunt confetti explode mind you, I mean blood and gore fly everywhere from it and their head is just gone. (closest thing I've seen to this in any of the Halo games is when you kill flood)

I'd like to be half-man half-tree in an octopus' garden in the shade.

Halo and realism don't go together. So don't put them together.

The best part about Halo is the goofiness of it all (bright colors, alien dinosaurs and monkeys, toy-sounding guns, etc). Why change that?

I just wasted a few seconds of your life and you're never getting them back!

Personally I never cared much about blood effects in halo.

I don't find the flood very goofy.. o_o

The game is about big guys in green suits killing purple aliens. Realism went out the door a long time ago.

Seriously? You think that's realistic? It's not.

But otherwise, armor damage is a great idea.

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

Yes, I want to dismember some spartans, preferably the ones wearing hayabusa.
