Subject: new head cam idea

If memory serves right, a couple months ago i remember reading a post about the usage of head cams in reach. for those of you who dont know what head cams are: They are cameras that are integrated into your helmet and record whatever is happening during the heat of battle. Soldiers could usually extract the recordings from other dead soldiers to find out what happened or find key information for winning a battle. So, the post that I read talked about some cut scenes being done from the head cam perspective, very much like the halo ce mission in which the flood were first revealed. This is a very good idea and I think I should be expanded.
These head came cut scenes could take two forms. Interactive cut scene and static cut scene. Lets talk about the interactive cut scenes first. These cut scenes should be short and sweet but extremely hard at the same time. You may be going why would a cut scene be hard? It is because you can determine how it would play out. Let me explain. Did anybody play god of war before? You know when you fight the bosses, at some points you could press the grapple button and it will start this short mini game like thing in which you have to press buttons before a time limit otherwise you would get killed? skip to one minute forty seconds into the video.

Anyways, in the video, u could see that you have to press a series of buttons to beat the hell out of that hydra. I was kind of thinking to integrate that into the interactive cut scene. This would be in the perspective of the head cam, basically first person if you will. An example would be that the scene starts with a first person view of a marine or something, the marine is running along and then an elite jumps out with an energy sword and tries to slash you, you would have to press X right before it does so other wise it will kill you and therefore ending the cut scene. If you manage to press X in time then the marine would dodge the slash, then he would try to shoot the elite and you would have to press RB. but in some way you would always have to die because if you dont, you wouldnt be able to find the recording in the first place and pick it up from the dead marine.
The static cut scene would be about the same as the interactive cut scene except you cant do anything to change it, you cant determine the ending. A good example of this is the halo three trailer some years back

Except this would be all in the view of the head cam/first person. These little head cam cut scenes would be kind of like a little award after finishing missions, or you could unlock them by doing achievements.
Now another question may be how would you get these recordings. Well, as mentioned above, it could be unlocked by achievements and then accessed in theatre mode or extras. Another way could be that its part of the loading menu.
I prefer it to be a kind of mini game during the campaign. Like during the mission, you might come across some dead marines. When you step over one, it would say pick up head cam chip and therefore starting the cut scene. but you cant exactly have that for every marine, there would be too many, so it could be like in ODST the object is shining yellow. the recordings could also maybe only extracted from spartans.
another thing to decide is whether or not these head cam cut scenes follow a sotry or not, like in odst, the sounds recordings followed a story. these cutscenes could also be pure sweetness and brutalism, following no sotry and just showing off reachs' good graphics.
Achievements. You could also get many different achievements for these cut scenes, like finding all the alternative endings, finding all the recordings. Things like that. So, after reading this wall of text, tell me what you think.

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

***JUMP ACTIVATION INITIATION START***
***TRANSPORT WHEN READY***

If they are recordings, then why should player input be able to change the outcome of the recording? That defies the very definition of a recording.

oops, i did not see that 0.0
srry then, but then...a problem with these hot topics is that there is at least 1000 posts (and almost all of them are 2 word posts or quotes). and no one really reads the last 800 posts. so...why not post something with a lot of content on a brand new post so that everyone could read?
