Light a log on fire and a man will be warm for the rest of the day. Light a man on fire, and that man will be warm for the rest of his life.

That's right, a command menu to command other spartans.

It would be implemented on the xbox 360 controller by holding down something like the left bumper, then having a circle menu of commands which you would use a joystick to select from.

Commands would be kill my target, something you selected previously by pointing your aimer at it, attack enemy, defend enemy, defend my target, cover me, move to this certain location... commands somewhat like that.

Many people want a "big battle" feel, the problem is it is extremely hard to create that feeling while keeping your character important to combat. If you become a leader to command other spartans, you can be part of everything while at the same time... not being part of every fight going on.

My question is, how well do you think this could work with halo?

Personally, I think an actual "skilled" person in Halo 3 is someone who knows how to win with every weapon and combo in the game, not just a single weapon like the BR, Sniper, or even the AR. Of course, that excludes me, as I have yet to get a kill with dual plasma pistols. :D

Actually, I remember reading on the packaging for a 360 headset, that it also worked for games with "voice recognition" or something like that. If the 360 has that kind of capability, maybe they could implement it in Reach.

Then what would the point of it be? You're prbably only going to have a couple of AI with you at a time, the only time you'll probably get close to having a "big battle feel" would be in multiplayer.
