I speak the truth, and truth speaks itself.
The lies disguise what you despise.
Run. Flee and be, what you've always dreamed.
What happens now won't matter later.
What you see will not be, nor what you imagine will not happen.
The end is close, so take your dose.

Halo =/= CoD

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

No. That would reward players who have spent more time with the game at the expense of newer players.

I would be fine with awards, achievements, and medals for good performance, but gameplay needs to stay consistent.

Go play CoD.

Halo is not CoD. It will never be CoD. If you want CoD. Play CoD. Don't suggest CoD ideas for a Halo game.

Your not the first and your not the last.

it would be the same advantage an old soldier has against a recruit.to solve it only players generally of the same wepon skill level should play together.and those upgrades wouldnt be somethin like super fast cod perk reload compared to normal reload it would more like resident evil 5 like 1 second faster in the best case

  • 11.15.2009 1:55 PM PDT

No thanks. Just like Perks, this would reward long-time players at the expense of newer gamers.

  • 11.15.2009 2:00 PM PDT

yes but perks do amazing tricks im talking for a maximum benefit of 10% of the original skill

  • 11.15.2009 2:04 PM PDT

No, Halo shouldn't reward players that spend more time on the game, it should only reward skill.

I'm pretty sure that already happens. The more you do something, the better you get at it...

If you follow your thought out, not only do people who play more get better because they practice and play more, they also get an advantage on top of their skill. No thanks. I wouldn't mind abilities that everyone had access to at a particular level (i.e. all level 10-19 have X "perks" available), as that could make for interesting tactics and gameplay (if the perks weren't cheap, but rather potentially useful). But I do not like your idea at all.
