One thing is apparent in all of this mass speculation going on after the ilovebees.com fiasco- Bungie loves to screw with people. After the release date kickbacks and the starvation diet of screenshots and tidbits of data, what more can you expect?

THE PLOT THICKENS
*Signs quotation marks like Dr. Evil*
Could this "conspiracy" be part of a "underground hype" created by the "bungie staff"?

REASON
An elaborate conspiracy is something that has been proved irressistible to the masses over the years - in this case, HALO fans are the victims of the juicy plot that envelopes dates, times, and elements from books, Bungie games, and of course, mystery.

THEORY
If it is true that Bungie is behind the hype and all things related to ilovebees.com, then it confirms my theory on what they have been up to for the past 6 months: Sitting on their ***es playing a finished game every day and watching their pre-order totals stack up.

It's rated, packaged, and ready to roll, at least in my mind.

I sincerely hope you're right, though it seems far-fetched at the moment.

We'll have to wait and see.

One thing though If you go to the site it says that "In 15 days this medium will metastasize."

The definition of metastasize is
1. Pathology. Transmission of pathogenic microorganisms or cancerous cells from an original site to one or more sites elsewhere in the body, usually by way of the blood vessels or lymphatics.
2. A secondary cancerous growth formed by transmission of cancerous cells from a primary growth located elsewhere in the body.

Not that I wouldn't love to be doing the same thing...

The fact that all the dates add up to August 24th, (the day microsoft released Windows 95, etc, etc....) and all the storylines and parallels in Bungie's games (HALO 1, Marathon, etc, etc) is very intriguing indeed.

It all points to something happening that people are supposed to be *quietly* excited about, and they are by looking at these forums.

One thing is for sure: if Bungie ever tries to back up a release date again, and this whole shebang about ilovebees.com is a hoax, then we'll all load up and proceed to riot and burn down their studios...
