Subject: How to add to the replayability of campaign

What I am thinking is a sort of minimized forge for single player levels. You would be limited to placing spawns, enemies, weapons, vehicles, checkpoints, and small amounts of cover. This would allow you to tweak the levels so that it is not the same thing over and over again.

Due to the size of campaign missions, you could only have 1-2 players at a time, but it could still be a fun experience.

Ideas and constructive criticism?

I like it, but maybe this would be a unlockable after you beat the levels the way they were made. And achievements are locked for edited maps.

That was what I was thinking, it would be a fun way to play for a casual gamer.

Vae Victis!

That sounds like a great idea.

This definitely would add to the longevity of the game.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Like a "custom" campaign lobby, unlocked after you beat the campaign? Sure.

Disable achievements, and keep the metagame.

Halo: CE had something that made it fun. The vastness of the levels, the physics, whatever it was it was fun to play the levels repeatedly. The other campaigns don't seem to be like that. Halo seems to be more centered on matchmaking than the campaign. They have been great, but Halo: CE is still the most enjoyable for me.
