Just curious on everyones thoughts. Maybe it would be too difficult to balance them in matchmaking, so possibly campaign - use-able jet packs too.
Perhaps they could just make a Brute skin, no game-play difference, just a new look/sounds.

I think it would be a cool unlockable, like the next recon.
Complete with customizable armor/colors.

Why not?

Same, but it would be too difficult to make a completely seperate character and balance it to be equal with spartans and elites.
So I think a customizable brute with no differences in game play would be better. I would love to change the armor on them and be unique in MM.

not again... there has been over 9000 threads about this very topic before. why not use the search bar?

I'll tell you the results (honestly) : the "no" and "why bother" will be almost as high as the yes. that's how it usually end up. that means MORE people are against the idea than there are people for the idea.

and personally I'm totally against them.

Why would u be playing as the covenent? ppl complained about the arbiter side role in Halo2. ppl said that it ruined the campaign. Why would bungie make the same mistake twice?

It didn't ruin the campaign for me. It added depth to the covenant side of the story. It wasn't a mistake just because a bunch of idiots who hated change expected to play at 't3h m4stur ch33f' and ended up playing from a different perspective said they hated it. I believe that I speak for most of the more hardcore fans of Halo that the Arbiter's side of the story wasn't perfect, but it sure as hell wasn't as terrible as some people said.

And I seriously wouldn't mind playing as a Brute, if Bungie balanced it out properly.

That made me laugh so much...

I liked the Arbiter parts of the campaign: The levels "Arbiter" and "Sacred icon" are still my favorites in Halo 2 just after "Delta Halo".

About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

I would not want it. They have completely different killboxes than spartans and elites.
