I know that Microsoft has the true skill system and they want as many games as they can to use it but I think there needs to be a change from the way it is now (Halo 3)
My idea is to keep the true skill hidden from the players and use it as way to measure a player's overall skill. The true skill system will be used along with the person's rank in a playlist to see who they will be matched against.
The idea is to have a person's level in a playlist to take priority over their overall rank 60% (rank in playlist) to 40% (true skill) in games that aren't ranked, true skill would be the deciding factor or the average/range of the group
For ranked games, I am in favor of a set number of wins or loses to move up or down a level. Once a person passes a certain level, they can't go down ex(20,30,40,45) I don't see a person loosing 10 levels, unless they are doing it on purpose.
For ranked games, the Halo 2 system is the one I liked, numbers designed in a cool patterns and then once you go to a certain level, symbols that were related to Halo.
