Subject: Covenant Home World: Your thoughts please.

the reason i posted this is because i feel there is a possibility the story line will go further than reach itself

i have always hoped that the war would be taken to the covenant home world.
it opens so many possibilities such as
:New landscape and color scheme.
:Wide variety of game play mechanics
:Assassinations\ working with rebel covies
and it also brings up a new thought for me
does the covenant home planet know of the things transpired so far
Side note: i may have forgotten key points that would null and void the home planet idea, let me know.

Group invites will be treated very poorly because the Care Package is empty.

Battle of Reach =/= Battle of Covenant Homeworld

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

There is no Covenant "homeworld", since the Covenant is a conglomeration of many different species they all come from different worlds. Their main "home" is High Charity and that's only discovered by the Humans in 2552 on Delta Halo.

So no, your theory = fail.

No need, it's all in the game.

I don't understand why you're looking at my profile. Just back off, and nobody gets hurt, okay?

Lol.

I trust you need no further evidence to debunk your theory?

Besides, this is about the planetfall of Reach, so why would it be set on a Covenant world for part of the game? Bit pointless, eh?

No think of it more as a retaliation attack, like pearl harbor

How would that fit in though? Reach is the final stand before the Covenant can get to Earth, also, PoA decks out the battle eventually and discovers Installation 04.

It's just not needed and very unlikely to happen. Reach is the most important military world, all focus is there.

To see one of the Covenant home worlds would be kinda cool. Won't happen in Reach though, maybe in Halo 4 or something.

There was a Sanghelli Home world, and a San' Shyuum Homeworld, as well as a Jiralhanae Home world.

Though it's possible the Jiralhanae Home world was obliterated, as well as the Unngoy and Kig Yar Homeworlds. They were species that were forcibly conquered and integrated into the Covenant, their planets may not have survived those encounters.

You're writing in the past-tense, making the events sound like the home planets are no more. Also, you're phasing out the timeline, going from Reach to Halo 3, it's confusing.

The San 'Shyuum's homeworld was destroyed by a supernova and when the Reformists left the planet in the Dreadnaught, it took a massive chunk out of it too. That happened centuries before the events we play and many years before the Covenant was formed.

Doisac (the Jiralhanae world) is only primitive and is a minority at the end of Halo 3. The Humans and Sangheili don't seek revenge to the extent of genocide.

Balaho and Eyan along with the other Covenant worlds weren't involved in the war much because they were too far away from Human travel space and probably had masses of Assault Carriers or native defences en guard.

The races were enslaved, their planets weren't destroyed.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

High Charity is the Covenant Homeworld. Each species evolved on different worlds, so they all naturally have their own home worlds... there is no natural "Covenant Homeworld."
