I was farting around last night at the end of Silent Cartographer, lobbing grenades and firing off plasma overcharges when I nailed the windshield of the Pelican waiting patiently for me to board. The effect of the shot was the same as when a grenade explodes on dirt, a high plume of dirt shot into the air each time I unloaded the overcharge into the windshield. For testing I moved my shots off the windshield and onto the body of said Pelican and lo and behold, normal rock type debris, small chunks. Back to the glass and, yep, more dirt geysers! How dirty!

I seem to remember dirty vent core debris on the Maw.

You are correct about the vents in the Maw, they do the almost exactly the same thing, with a slightly different look to it. Good Catch!

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

People I've talked to who make maps for Halo Custom Edition say effects like that are related to "tags". Basically, instead of using a tag for metal or glass, someone accidentally used the one for ground/earth.
