I'd like to be half-man half-tree in an octopus' garden in the shade.
Many people complain that Halo 3's ranking system isn't good because it does not have enough emphasis on individual skill. If you go +30, but your teammates combined go -31, you lose skill and/or rank. This can be frustrating at times for many players, especially when you continually get bad teammates.
I think that Reach should have a system in which each game, there are two ways in which you can earn skill/EXP: if your team comes in first place or if you have one of the top half kill/death ratios. For example, if my team loses the game, but I had the second best kill/death ratio in the game, I would still gain some skill and/or EXP. Your skill in a playlist would be comprised partially of your total "Team-based" skill and partially of your Individual skill. Team-based skill would account for slightly more than Individual skill (perhaps a 60-40 split?). These numbers wouldn't be shown, so it would appear to be the same as Halo 3's ranking system, but it would actually be a system that better rewards Individual Skill than in the current system.
