seems haloish enough

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

I don't think so, perks seem to be something good for campaign maybe, but not multi-player.

I actually like the idea of that, that sounds pretty legit, and well put together, I like the idea of everyone only getting one random perk, so not everyone will start out with the same one.

Whats up with Spartans calling Elites Dinosaurs? I mean Spartans are the ones almost extinct! XD

What kind of perks are you suggesting for Reach?

  • 11.18.2009 12:49 AM PDT

But if everyone sets a perk as their default, how can there be a random one at the start of the match?

I mean Spartans and Elites already have perks, I mean super jumping super strength, super speed. You know what I mean?

My troll sense is tingling.

As long as it's balanced like TF2 and not unbalanced like CoD.

actualy it seems to be nothing more than an idea

Due to some... secret information... on Reach

this

  • 11.18.2009 7:51 AM PDT

Ties of blood and water
Wrongs darker then death or night
...Nor battle to the strong

I do not want matchmaking to be random anymore then it already is VIA ar and beatdowns so I have to say this is a terrible idea. However if there is indeed perks with reach there should be a progession system that goes along with them that rewards skill, winning consistet or doing specific things a set number of times.

There is nothing wrong with Halo:Reach. We all just have our gripes about everything we don't like. Not liking something doesn't make it broken.

I dunno. Unlocking Armor and Perks with Achievements would be neat.

'Drive faster' but 'Vehicle weapons are slightly less damaging'

'Vehicle weapons do slightly better damage' - 'Slightly slower driving'

'Faster shield recharge!' - 'Slightly less base health!'

That and you only can have ONE equipped at a time. It would be interesting to see how people who play together manage to make combos up.

'move normal speed when holding the objective' - 'If you drop objective and the enemy recovers they get the recover faster'

That kind of thing, you know, one cool effect, one negative, could open up a TON of different strategies and such.

Signatures are for squares.

They aren't called perks...

The user who posted the leaks even said so later on himself, that they aren't actually perks.

I'm assuming it's just like equipment.

The legend lives on.

Hypermnesia n An exceptionally exact or vivid memory, especially as associated with certain mental illnesses.

Sapphire.

Don't know if I like that idea or not. Call of Duty wasn't that fun to me.

why cant you like halo for what it is? Halo is meant to be a fast-paced balanced shooter. COD made their own style of shooter and it works for them, it doesnt mean halo has to steal their idea.

  • 11.18.2009 8:15 AM PDT

Halo is great. Bungie is great.

Halo is about balance. Halo doesn't have perks because that upsets the balance. I you like perks go play a different game. Perks make the playing field unbalanced.

  • 11.18.2009 8:56 AM PDT

Bungie has never said anything about perks. Until they do, I'm going to assume they won't be implemented in any shape or form.

I'm one with the warrior inside. The evidence can't be denied. The entire world will stare. Into this battlefield tonight. As I stand before you with a warrior's heart now. I can feel the strength that will Ensure my victory this time

NO, NO PERKS! Why would Bungie make amajor change to Multiplayer? They have never done that before in Halo. What makes you so sure that they would with Reach? Because you saw some "leaked (Fake)" screenshots? Don't belive everything you see, or hear.
