if you think about it if they add a hide in cover option like in rainbow six iam mean you see ai do this,

they but there back up aganst the wall and blind fire, Elites do this alot in halo 3.
It can be a single player thing only,
and its better then a useless flashlight

this could put some teamwork in co op, so its not just always run and gun.

There is nothing wrong with Halo:Reach. We all just have our gripes about everything we don't like. Not liking something doesn't make it broken.

A cover system in Halo has the potential for fun if it had a health system like ODST.

Otherwise, no. I'll pass. The amount of 'Lol hiding cures bullet wounds!!!' would just suck all around.

but lets say campaign only.

and its better then call of duty:reach and better then a useless flashlight that runs out of battery after 30 seconds.

Campaign only? And risk the reaction the zealots had over ODST?

You'd just get more of the "BAAAW SAME OLD MULTIPLAYER!!!" and "WWAAAAAAH THE CAMPAIGN SYSTEM IS TOO DIFFERENT" and "BABY MY OPINIONS BUNGIE!!!"

Don't get me wrong, I see were the fun can be had (I loved Rainbow Six:Vegas2) but in this case I am not sure it is a good step in the Halo series.

Halo is a simple shooter. Not much thinking or skill throughout the game aside from twitch reflexes. Requiring gameplay that forces strategy into the hands of players used to just lone wolfing levels with grenades and pure guts alone? Nothing doing.

"Halo is a simple shooter. Not much thinking or skill" thats the problem with it unless you play legandary other then that no skill.

Don't get ahead of yourself. Halo's multiplayer require enormous amounts of pure reflex among the big names and whatnot. Any random montage can show you proof. But as far as complex strategy? It just doesn't really happen in this series. This is not a bad thing.

If I want run and gun? I play CoD:WaW. If I want brainless shootan fun? I have Halo3. I'll rely on games and series MADE for strategy, like Rainbow6:Vegas2 or Team Fortress 2 if that is what I want.

There are some shooters that are just meant for different kinds of gameplay. Halo is the mother of all simple, plain shooting games and its players love it for that.

A lot of the Halo3 players couldn't or wouldn't like thinking to be a requirment.

I don't understand why you're looking at my profile. Just back off, and nobody gets hurt, okay?

Clans are not gameplay. Clans are something created and operated outside of the game.

Being in a clan in no way adds to game play, it simply implies you are playing with people you are familiar and friendly with.

I know all about clans, doesn't make them part of Halo. Just means they use Halo 3 as their medium for trying to gain some form of prestige. My personal opinion is that any clan that only uses a single game is hardly a clan compared to the few I've seen who play together across a great many games and do equally well throughout.

Anyhow, in your defense and in the defense of people IN clans, there would be a higher amount of strategy sure, but that doesn't change the fact that no more strategy is required in the game aside from twitch reflexes with the right weapons and just being good at not dying.
