I never played Halo 2 (sadly), but in Halo CE all Elites seemed the same.
Sure, there were stronger ones (there are various Brutes too), but none seemed to rank as high as a Brute Chieftain.
Those golden elites with the sword were pie, you just needed to tag them with stickies to make them fly away. You could never do that to a Chieftain.
They should make zealots stronger then
Like I said, he could not POSSIBLY have played it on Legendary, they can absorb 3 Rockets on Legendary before they die. That's a hell of alot more than I can say for Chieftains.
Actually, what he said about killing a zealot with a sticky nade is true.
Zealots in Halo CE have a natural, rechargeable overshield, while this means that Zealots can take alot of punishment, however, if a plasma grenade manages to find itself on a zealot, they will die, even on legendary with full shields, a single sticky nade will kill them.
As for the previous topic of why Halo 2 Zealots have terrible shields, I think when Bungie first concieved the Elite campaign, the main character was going to wear Zealot armor, thus the Zealot model was givin weak shields, but at some point, Bungie decided instead of the Arbiter wearing golden zealot armor, we got Arbiter armor instead, and Bungie didn't really bother giving Zealots back their strong shields.
Im sure Bungie has a ton of excuses for that, with the game being rushed, but I do agree, that making the Zealots weak on Halo 2 was a mistake, still, im sure the Zealots will hopefully return in all their glory in Reach.
