Xbox Live, ad me if you like

Geoxbreather

Nice video, looks good. I wonder who made this short.
However I doubt the game will look this good, I dont suspect the XBOX being capable of this.

I would still want These Graphics

I don't think they'll actually look like that, but I am impressed on how beautifully they are made for that short clip :P

  • 11.18.2009 1:46 PM PDT

isn't this a clip from a halo wars cut scene

  • 11.18.2009 1:57 PM PDT

zzz This video keeps popping up every year, It was made between halo2 and before halo 3. So it doesnt has anything to do with reach.

  • 11.18.2009 1:57 PM PDT

Stuffz....

Old.

And it would be awesome.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Notice anything? The Grunts and needlers look good, but there is practically no detail on anything else, and only three of them on screen. You'd be hard pressed to have the types of battles Halo is known for and to keep the environments looking good with full enemy AI (instead of scripted) with those types of graphics. Cinematics are one thing, but gameplay is entirely different, and none of the consoles currently available could do something like this at a high scale without some type of stutter in the framerate.

This video was more than likely a tech demo of sorts, or someone just seeing how pretty they could make a Grunt look. That doesn't mean it would work well within the technical limitations of current hardware.

I never said it had anything to do with Reach, other than the fact that I said "what if it had graphics like this"

These graphics look incredible but I question whether it's pre-rendered like the Killzone 2 cinematic at E3 2005 that sure as hell looked good but it made people actually think the PS3 was capable of this until Guerrilla games said it's pre-rendered and everybody's dreams suddenly died. If these aren't and are built with an actual game engine I am truly amazed.

I wish I was still legendary.

This video was someone's animation thesis for college/uni (or a part of one), and the 360 can't support real-time graphics like that. It would be good to get graphics NEAR that level though.

If we could at the least get the cinematic's to be like the ones off of Halo Wars then I will be very happy, as for game play graphics I don't know what to expect.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. The moon was blood, and the sun was as ashes. The seas boiled, and the living envied the dead. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

That's some pretty old CGI. Doubt the 360 can do that:p
