Poll: High Intensity moments [closed]
Total Votes: 25
What are they? Crazy, that's what.
They get your adrenaline pumping and keep you on the edge of your seat. They up the excitement factor for the game above and beyond Halo's patented "30 seconds of fun."
All this talk with not much explanation. Just what would a "High Intensity moment" consist of? It would be a new "mini-cinematic" added, like Halo 3's optional first person cinematics (such as the one with Johnson getting beat up by a Brute); these scripted and semi-scripted moments would occur during gameplay and would flow smoothly.
For example, a first person view as your MJOLNIR armor is locked up in a gravity well while a Brute Chieftain (or Elite Zealot) toys with you; gets closer and closer to killing you, watching you with anticipation as you helplessly try to wriggle away from your inevitable demise.
And then your squad-mate busts into the area, tackles the Elite, and the two have a dramatic life-or-death struggle, only for your fellow Spartan to overcome the Elite in the end - just barely - then disables the gravity well.
You pop your Assault Rifle back out and keep fighting through the Covenant Super-Carrier to plant explosives near its Engines, to overload them in an attempt to cripple a portion of the Covenant fleet.
Many things like this could be added - of course all short - which would just add some variety to the gameplay and show us some new ways to reveal the story.
Plus it would just be cool. What do you think?
