OK ITS NOT A BRUTE SNIPER ANYMORE.

The idea is whats important here.

This 'sticky' sniper rifle would be loads of fun everytime you use it. I really think youll enjoy it..

Imagine a sniper rifle that shoots "sticky" projectiles (use spike grenades as a reference if you want). It would be as accurate as the Human and Elite sniper rifles but would shoot "sticky" bullets that explode on impact. You have someone in your sights, pull the trigger, the projectile fires.. if the target is hit, the round will explode after a brief pause. Even if the target misses.. it will stick in any wall/vehicle/ground/rock feature it lands on and then explode.

This weapon would seriously be the most enjoyable in all of matchmaking. Trying to stick players and vehicles with a longe range rifle. Balance would be required, but could easily be fixed with ammo shortages and reload time.

Im not suggesting an "arc-like" shot.. but a direct sniper shot which travels at the same speed.

Halo usually goes for fun more than a competetive feel when creating games. This would really fit the bill.

Just make sure it's not a one hit kill unless it's headshot. then I'm all good, that'd be so hilarious... :)

We already have the Beam Rifle, and the Sniper. What would the point be in one side having two snipers.

Yeah Humans having more than one sniper is completely pointless! Like in our military for instance.. only one sniper rifle is allowed.. anything more than 1 is absurd.

As much as i disagree with the Sniper idea Homeboy is correct. Halo needs more then one wepon per catagory. it just makes more sence...and why in the wold do you not want more guns? this gun idea may not be a good idea but saying we should (keep it as it is) isnt improving the halo wepon experiance

I wish I was still legendary.

Made it in the H1 Custom edition once, it was REALLY cheap and not fun to play against. Not fun, just an annoying way to get quick kills on vehicles and careless enemies.

Perfect.

Would that help some of the people who say it is too overpowered? If it had a carbine sight and was more of a medium range weapon? One round per reload. 4 rounds total. Zoom out when taking damage.

It still isnt what you guys are thinking.. "a grenade launching sniper rifle." These are small rounds that you have to hit your opponent to get the kill. If you miss, you have to reload and by that time the player will have moved. I dont think it would be too overpowered at all.
