I'm gonna keep this nice and simple:

To add onto what I hope is an immense level of AI and atmosphere in Reach, I really think the old Halo: CE bar-health system needs a comeback.

Sure, it was annoying at times, but it made me nervous in battle. I walked carefully wherever I went, hoping I wouldn't be surprised attacked and left with a bar of health left. In Halo 2 and 3, all I had to do was hide for a second and I was back in perfect shape. It was ok, but seriously, where's the strategy in that? I just didn't really feel it.

And... Well, there is no "and". Now you ask yourselves, Do you agree/disagree with me?

Halo: CE's bar-health system needs to return!

I liked Halo 2 and 3 the best health system, it got annoying everytime when you are on low health and you cant find a health pack, and on legendary it just took the fun away at times.

I didn't like them because you never knew how screwed you were.

lol true XD

I think a combo of both should be put in, bar health with some regeneration because you cant always find a health pack.

HALO: CE health. It made it so much more stressful which was very good. I'm sick of being a freaking invincible god guy who slaughters legions of covenant.

I want to feel powerful but not powerful enough to take on 50 wraiths at a time.

Yes! Exactly what I was thinking.

I love carpets

I'd like for the health system to maybe stay consistent with Halo's storyline... Was it Mark IV or Mark V that Master Chief was wearing in Halo CE?

Phoenix is dead, long live Phoenix!

Mark V in Halo CE, but we have a potential for Mark IV with Reach. In any case I vote for either the CE health system or, in the case of Mark IV, a system that works similarly, but uses something besides shields, i.e. ODST's system.

I am a pharmaceutical scientist. I received my Masters degree in Pharmaceutics from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2010, after working as a Pharmacist for 4 years. I currently work in King of Prussia, PA, and focus on the analytical chemistry of small molecule APIs. My clients include some of the most well known big pharma companies in the world.

I think there should be regular spartan shields, that, once depleted, give way to the health bar used in ODST.

I liked it gone because resource hunting is annoying after the battle. I like to just go from one to the other and treasure hunt on my own later.

Battling is annoying if you have to wait or scavange in between each fight.

I liked micromanaging health packs with my friends. You had to be extra careful with only one sliver of life left, and you had to decide which player deserved the health pack at the time. Mining the enemies health packs was also very fun.

I like both systems. Halo 2 keeps you focused on aiming instead of looking at health. It makes the game an auditory experience. He just three shot me with his BR therefore one shot can kill me. I better head for the hills. It is a faster system.

I don't see why we can't have options for both.

There is Health in Halo 2/3. It just recharges really, really slowly. I don't even know how Bungie decided to take away the ability to see how many health you actually had. It's a mistake imo.

I want health.
I want to see it.
I don't want it to recharge.
I want to use a medpack.

Well, I think a health system in Multiplayer isn't a bad idea, I just think the Campaign should have regenerating health, (albeit a very slow regeneration) with a few med packs here and there to keep you running and gunning on easier difficulties.

Tag 'm and Bag 'm

A health bar, that always regenerates to 25% of your health if not taken damage for some time, for the moments a health pack is out of Reach.

  • 11.19.2009 1:20 PM PDT

I disagree.
the health pack placement in halo ce killed that idea for me.
some of the hardest sections were only hard because they had no healthpacks, it was terrible for balancing.
