Subject: Two Campaign Stories, 2x Achievments, & Possible new campaign m...

Think about it...It would be awesome if you where able to play the spartan storyline of the Battle of REACH and The Elite story line. It would give people who like to play as elites and people who like to play as spartans a fair campaign experience. But with 2 story lines there could be 2x the achievements
Such as:
Beat the game as the Covenant (normal heroic legendary)

Beat the game as the UNSC (normal heroic legendary)

AND then there could be special achievements you could gain on each side
Such as:
Kamikaze Novice: Suicide during the campaign 5 times while successfully killing an enemy (covenant achieve)

Kamikaze Master: Suicide during the campaign 15 times while successfully killing an enemy (covenant achieve)

Hunting the Hunter: Defeat a squad of hunters during solo-campaign (UNSC achieve)

Banshee basher: Destory 10 Banshee with a spartan laser (UNSC achieve)

Then in the final mission of the campaign if there is a battle between spartans and elites going on through a city or base on REACH players could go up against each other via Xbox Live and battle each other while doing the campaign as well.

This could possibly work if in the campaign menu there was this option that would lead you to a menu that would resemble matchmaking and you could pick a mission to play in and wait for other people to join. From there on in each side would still face bots and actual players. Although the respawn time wouldn't be like matchmaking. Instead it could be like the current respawn option where the player has to wait for another player to get to a safe place. But what could happen is that the player would have so many lives and after the lives where used up he could just wait or go to camera view or to the view of their fighting teammates

I know that this idea of mine has ALOT flaws but i just wanted your guys opinion of how you would like it :P

Pls reply? :P

EDIT: I understand that the achievements that are above relatively are easy and kinda suck but i just used those to get my point across

I would be cool the play as unsc and the covenant again, but i think the achievements have too be more difficult.

I'm in for 2 separate campaigns, but not if they require us to play the same levels 2 times.

So maybe have 2 completely different campaigns, and only 3-4 occasions where they cross over. And not like the whole level, but a part that is in both the UNSC level and the Covie level.

I would perfer them being seperate campaigns, It would make it seem alot longer then the campagin is cause its from 2 points of view, you can have each level end the same, same exact levels, maybe change a few things so its not repeating, and just make new cut scenes.

I personally don't like the suicide achievements you talk about tho. The point of solo campaign is to beat the game solo, without dying alot. Unless we play as a grunt, no point in commiting suicide.

I would like to play on both sides, but for the final battle what would the people without Xbox Live do?

They shouldn't lose out cause they don't have xbox live, the campaign should be the same for those with and without xbox live. Campaign should never be planned to have multiple people over xbox live to beat the level. I mean we have co-op campaign so we can beat the game with friends over live. But they shouldn't make a level where its main idea is to have multiple people play it over live.

Same, I woundn't mind as long as they were doing something else like fighting flood or heratics (sp?)

Signatures are for squares.

Halo 2 pulled off the dual campaigns very nicely. I wouldn't mind it, as long as each side of the campaign has atleast 6 hours of gameplay each.

Also, They should be different levels every time, not a sonic heroes type thing.

Oh, and Covies better kill humans, not sentinels and flood like Halo 2. (But that would be a really nice way to fit flood into the game)

Don't be irreplaceable; if you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.

I hated the fact that when you completed campaign @ legendary with skulls, you easily had 500Gamerscore.
Make it less gamerscore OR longer/harder campaign.

Ahh, the time of 3rd grade where crappy games were tolerable...
I loved that game, but it sucks now.
Sonic is going down the drain sadly, X-Play cant do a "Franchises that need to die" Short with out sonic in it..
:(

im all in for two seperate campaigns, but the one with matchmaking in it - what if you dont have xbox live, or like me, your connection is -blam!-? I also dont want my campaign to be spoiled by noobs and other beeple BTW

I don't like the idea of two campaigns. I would rather they made 1 campaign with a single continuous story that was twice as long than two campaigns half the length. Two campaigns would require Bungie to use time and resources making the second that they could use making the first one better and longer.

Halo 2 was fine.

No it wasn't, If you're saying that Halo 2's two campaign/storyline was fine then you just proved my point. The storyline with the chief is only like 5 missions and arby is like 5 missions and together they equal close to the same playtime as Halo 3's campaign which had 1 continuous storyline.

The same would be true for Reach if they did two campaigns. One campaign would be five hours with the spartans and one would be five hours with the elites, whereas I'd prefer just one 10 hour long campaign with the spartans.

I think it should be a longer and harder campaign, lets face it, every halo game where you fought elites in legendary was harder then the others where you fought brutes in legendary. So I instantly think this one will be harder then Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST.

I hope its longer cause its Bungies Good-Bye to there hand in Halo (Or atleast thats what they said). I'm pretty sure they will do something great, or try to so people will remember the game.

You only get 500 gamerscore cause when you beat it on legendary, you also get points for beating it on normal and heroic. Which in ODST is about 300 points alone. Then you get the bonus mission achievements for 5-30 points each which are easy and you get points for the missions which are like 30-50 a piece. I beat Halo 3 ODST for my friend just yesterday, In less then 5 hours I had already gotten 750 points on the account.

One way this could change is making it where you only get the legendary achievement when you beat it on Legendary, instead of Legendary, Heroic, and Normal. So to get all 3 you would have to beat it 3 times.

Then change the in mission achievements to be about 5-15 points each. And keep the mission completion poitns the same.

Maybe also add in an extra 500-1000 points for multiplayer, so you get 1000 for campaign and 1000 for multiplayer.

The last time I tried to make a quote, a car smashed through my wall and the tire hit my grandmother in the other room. But for those of you who can haz once more between five, I say it will be five between seven divided by zero multiplied by Chick Norass and Broce Tee.

I hate to break it to you guys, but the campaign is already set, and they won't make any more changes to the storyline.
Which means that although you have a good idea that would have potentially made it right when this forum first started, it won't be takin into account at Bungie. They will develope the levels more, though. So you could give tips about levels you want to play.
