I have read the book's a few time's. and I though about how John said the following "Too many plasma explosions burned into the retina"(or something like it)

so my Idea is that if a plasme grenade detonate when you are watching up close, you will be flashed for a brief second and hawe a outline of the explosion fading from your vision.
(like a PlasmaTV displaying the same image for too long, the image burns into the screen).

this should be relatively easy to add into the game and is just a visual effect.

it will be like the Flashbang in CS, just a 10th of the power and duration...

the effect would appear as translucent outline of the explosion, not as a way to impair vision.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

Maybe, but in the story, the visors of Marines, ODSTs, and Spartans are able to automatically polarize to account for bright lights.

In addition, the plasma grendade is powerful enough already.

I say that effect should be applied to plasma weapons instead. no grenades.
headshots with a plasma rifle wouldn't do more damage, but it'd make it harder for the enemy to aim you.

the flash wont affect anything else than the fading outline of the explosion.

take whatever you imagined it would be like and reduce it 30%.

Been a while? Sorry about that.

I like the idea but don't set it up so we can be flahsed from a radius larger than the explosion of the grenade, I don't like the idea running blind 20% of the game.

I would like to see plasma more devastating. just to add to the feeling the Aliens are exterminating humanity instead armored lizards with flash lights. Halo CE did that pretty well

and as far as blinding goes. I'm pretty sure a spatans visor could filter out extremely intense Light however for the plasma Pistol and rifle

i would like them have a similar effect they did in halo CE just refined and graphically enhanced

I would like to see a good amount of light given off simular to a welder and i would also like to see it give off sparks and smoke when it hits walls. and It would be cool if it did continued Burn damage.

I think he means the effect would appear as translucent outline of the explosion, not as a way to impair vision.

so its a similar effect to a flashbang but your screen doesn't go completely white?
