We all know this now but I was surprised that they are showing the start of the game this far off release. The game is 10 to 12 months from release, so I was wondering how polished the game will look this far off release. On the graphics side of things, there must be alot of things not finished, what do you guys think.

I would assume the campaign is mostly finished and the rest is multiplayer, but i don't know how things work over there. Its just what i would do.

Yes its been in development for a long time, but its not even in beta stage yet so there must be alot of effects yet to be added to the game. Unless of course they have just improved the part they will show us to a high standard, man I hope so.

I hope it's actual gameplay but I have a feeling it will be a cutscene of some sort.

The opening cinematic would be a nice treat for us.

Oh, 100 percent they will show some gameplay, they must.

No they don't.
But if anything it would make more sense to have the cutscenes done first because they take a lot less time to make. Gameplay vids require a working game. Cutscenes just require a story.

I wish I was still legendary.

Even a cutscene would be nice, given Bungie usually do them using the game engine. The only reason not to show gameplay would be to avoid major spoilers, which, from the limited 'maybe true' synopsis I read during the... incident, it might well do.
