My idea for a new skull system is simple.
Have ranks, the higher the skull rank the more effect is has on the game.
Each campaign level will have 3 skulls hidden in each, each one a diffrent rank.
Bronze skull - easy to find, small changes
Silver Skull - harder to find, larger changes
Gold skull - Very,very hard to find (you may need to go out of the map), very large changes.
For instance, lets say the skull category is "grenades"
Bronze grenade skull - enemies throw much more grenades.
Silver grenade skull - grenades explode into multiple grenades.
Gold granade skull - grenades dont respond to gravity (they "float")
Or skull category "difficulty"
Bronze difficulty skull - enemies have higher resistance.
Silver difficulty skull - "mythic" difficulty on.
Gold difficulty skull - all enemies have camo and oversheilds.
