Halo: Heretic or Hero---An Elite's Story

I've been seeing a lot of ideas going around here, and it finally hit me: Bungie cannot put all of this on one disk. There would just not be enough memory to withstand so much content.

BUT...

If we were to have a two-disk set, perhaps one Campaign, Theater and another feature (Any ideas?). However, Bungie would have to make this disk filled to the brim with content, or else no one will pick it up after they beat the Campaign.

On the other would be Multiplayer, with Matchmaking, Forge, Custom Games, Theater, Firefight and another feature (Once again, any ideas?)

Now, this would have its ups and downs:

Pros:

-Can have hours upon hours of content on either disk
-Opprotunity to include more cool things then ever before
-Long, and I mean LONG Campaign.

Cons:

-Have to switch disks when you want to go from Campaign to Multiplayer, or vice versa
-Campaign Disk could be severely unplayed, partly because of the above reason

Discuss.

-Battlefield [re-opening!]
-ODST 4TH Battalion.
-TWP
-Youtube Committee [Closed, sorry]

Maybe you could install both discs on your hard drive, and then both discs' content could be accessible from either in-tray disc.

This could prevent the o' so annoying constant disc swapping.

Actually, the Halo 3:ODST's two-in-one packages where off scale. I don't think Bungie will bother.

they could do like forza 3, install disc 2 and play it from disc 1. i wouldn't mind swapping discs but i dont want them to make less content cause of disc space even if this means each mission has to be on a disc but then that would be huge making you take about 10 hours to complete 1 mission lol.

I can only speculate this, and only this. Even if you have 120GB DD, it wil still be too slow, too slow for it in swaping CDs.

We are not talking about this right now, but, exception comes and goes.

yeah they should have campaign and fire fight on one disk and all of the great multiplayer and theater on the other,

Were it so easy.

Your second con is stupid.

No one is going to not play half the game JUST because its on another disk.

I'd love that, IMO.

My real XBL is Bluefire7

Yes It should be a two disk package it should as a way not to limit content because of room and it would probably be necicary if increaced/new AI where added to the game for campain or multiplayer

If it maximized the total experience of Reach, then so be it. I would love it, even though I would have to switch the disks every time I wanted to play the other one (I don't have enough hard drive space). That's a small price to pay for the expanded awesomeness that would be on in Reach.

I think this setup would work for the disks...

Campaign (Disk 1)
-Campaign (solo and co-op)
-Firefight (with matchmaking, hopefully)
-Theater
-New features (if any)

Multiplayer (Disc 2)
-Matchmaking
-Custom Games
-Forge
-Theater
-New features (if any)

Why must we split the disks?

having would allow them to have more content (more levels stuff like that) but it wouldn't really allow for much more, the main reason for this is because the files that take up the most space (textures and audio) will still have to be on both disks.

The Orange Box was all one disk.

That's not what I meant. Grab a dictionary: 'partly' is not a synonym for 'fully'. There are plenty of other reasons, such as the fact that a great amount of people hardly play the Campaign after they have completed it.

More armor customization, and several other multi/singleplayer featurea?

Knowing what I was doing was never quite fun.

Yes that would be great.

Really hours upon hours of awesome gameplay is fine if all you have to do is switch discs.
