Well I was thinking to myself why couldn't bungie incorperate the abilities of the spartans, odst's and elites together. For Example: You can have 2 attachment spots like you can either use equipment or run faster, have strong sheilds or have a visr like the odst's. And maybe when you custimize your armour it actually does something different like for example: if there was a armour similiar to Scout you would be less detectable on radar or if you had an EOD varient you would be more resiliant to bullets.

Feel free to agree or disagree.

Face your fear, then consume it to give yourself strength.

I don't think this would work because it would give some players an advantage over the others, which is not what Halo's gameplay is like.

I don't understand why you're looking at my profile. Just back off, and nobody gets hurt, okay?

I will simply copy/paste this from now on instead of wasting my time crushing you fools.

Finally, a voice of reason.

Thanks.

You're welcome, kind sir.

I must say that the entire idea of a perk seems absurd to me, especially in the most fair and balanced online FPS currently available: Halo 3. To introduce an unbalancing feature such as this would only serve to increase the skill gap between the "n00b" and the "pr0". While the skill gap is generally a good thing for all parties involved, to increase it would be to simply further the distinction between the MLG and casual players that both inhabit the Xbox Live universe.

Furthermore, the choosing of weapons simply reduces the value of said guns, and makes obsolete the entire strategy of fighting for the power weapons, which I have and always will enjoy.

A common counterargument to my previous statement is quite simply: "w311 1t t4k35 5ki11 2 unl0ck t3h Gunz". My counterpoint to this asinine counterpoint is also simple:

"It takes skill to fight over the weapons already present on a map, more so than simply playing the game for a long time (the most common method of ranking up in CoD). Furthermore, keeping with this traditional approach to multiplayer would appease the vast majority of loyal Halo fans (myself included) that have stuck with the game since its inception, and virtually guarantee the excellent sales of Reach."

I must admit that that was not as simple as it should have been, but simplicity is the weapon of the CoD loving enemy, and the only way to counter it is:

It it gives players an overall advantage then I agree with you, but if the perks are balanced then I would love this.

I never said gun custimization because i believe that that would unbalance the game but adding what i said could help people play more how they wanted. So the "noob" could make himself slightly stronger than the rest giving him a fighting chance against the "pro".

Your point is invalid. This is still customization/unlockables that unbalances gameplay and makes the people that have been playing the game longer than others have a distinct advantage over newer players. Nothing will be certain, and the basic simplicity of Halo will be irrevocably destroyed by you and your crowd of rabble-rousers.

All the elements that would be introduced would have already been introduced in previous games. There would be no unlocking so that people who have just started would have all the same things a player who has played longer would have.

This is just my opinion that i believe would tweek the gameplay alittle but not enough to totally change how the game is played because i dont want Halo to become CoD.

What you are saying is that it would be the same as before, even though you said it should be "tweeked a little". You confuse me and make close to zero sense.

(1)the only way to escape death is death itself.
(2) pwn the world bungie
(3) never give in to BS, your always going good in your own way.

yeah, not bungie's style and that make certain armor being "noob armor" so lets say if you wear some heavy duty armor that increase your health by alot. Every little noob would be wearing it and completely ruin the multiplayer. Anything that would give players an advantage b4 the game wouldn't be fair what so ever.

When i say the armour varients would do certain things i mean if the armour gives your more health it would be slightly more and would barly make a difference to some but could mean the difference between life and death to a new player.

Man is born free but everywhere he is in chains.

I agree with Muckknuckle, and this has to be the 9th thread about perks in Halo: Reach that I've seen get shot down...

Uhh, ok, I have no idea what you just said, but if you're trying to say that different armor should give you different abilites: then yes.

Also, I think Elites and Spartans should have different abilities as well (kinda like Resistance).

=)

MY FRIEND TOLD ME THERE WERE GOING TO BE PERKS.... WTF I THINK THAT THERE SHOULD BE A DEVICE THAT MAKES YOU SPRINT IF SOME1 SHOTS YOU FROM BEHING YOU COULD SPRINT FOR COVER, RECHARCHE SHIELDS AND FIGHT BACK AND THE DEVICE WOULD HAVE A COOL DOWN TIME TO MAKE IT FAIR I H8 WHEN SOME1 BRs ME FROM BEHING HE GETS 2 SHOTS I TRY TO FIGHT BACK BUT THE GUYS GETS A CHEAP KILL IF YOU COULD SPRINT TO COVER, RECHARGE SHIELDS U COULD FIGHT 1 ON 1 WITH FULL SHIELDS WHO IS WITH ME?

HMMM ABOUT THE ARMOUR SYSTEM I DON'T AGREE THAT'S IS LIKE PERKS FROM CoD IN MY OPINION HALO TAKES MORE SKILL THAN CoD EXAMPLE:
IN HALO U HAVE TO SEARCH THE POWER WEAPONS AND POWER UPS IN CoD U GET'EM WHEN U LEVEL UP SO YEAH..... I LOVE CoD BUT THAT'S MY OPINION.

and now your going to get banned and probably try to blame the ban on the mods not liking your opinion even though the obvious reason for the ban is this all caps post
