Is it just me or would any one like an option to shut off the auto reload.

It's one of those little things that make the game look a little more clumsy. Like how when you run out of ammo you start reloading before you switch weapons or I think it looks silly when you start reloading when you are about to bash someones face in.

I know there are people that like the auto reload, but I would like the option to shut It off.

"It actually takes a little of effort to make the auto reload. otherwise it's just a the one reload button trigger instead of the two triggers reload button and out of ammo. and it's easy at that. this is stuff i could do in 30 seconds on blender."

This, sort of.

I'd prefer if it worked 100% of the time.

As far as adding the option, I don't see a benefit worth the time it would take to code it.

Still benifit < cost.

You have not convinced me.
(never liked blender, then again I do mostly high res still renders)

well the real question is that is Auto reload worth the cost and ill admit it is. however it really would not be out of the way except for in the text in the options menu. but that is an abysmal task and they are a multi million dollar game company so I do believe benefit > cost.

It's unnecessary. So no.

I don't understand. Why can't you just press the reload button instead of auto-reloading by shooting with no ammo left?

  • 11.21.2009 2:29 PM PDT

ok, you're obviously not getting what people mean when they say unnecessary.

Any action in the game has many possible consequences.

More code leads to possibilities of complications. Command codes as well as animation information.

Take a look at BxB. That was an unintended and unwanted action that had a huge impact on the H2.

IMO, keep it simple stupid
(no offense that's a common phrase, not an insult)

Bungie's a not so great track record for out of the gate and glitches, minor and major.

I'd rather elminate the risk than have what is a purely useless function.
