I don't necessarily agree with your points, but the sentiment certainly.

If you work with the fans, instead of against them, it's always a better experience for all involved.

That being said..

Bungie's got a bit of a history of "Ha! Gotcha" with Halo 3

In that they seemingly fool us into buying it, and then slowly, very slowly, doing even more "improvements" long after release.

My hopes aren't too high for Reach.

I'm sure it will be fun, but their history for screwing with the balance of weapons from game to game is ridiculous. It can only get worse with them going backwards in time...

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

I didn't play the Beta but I do think that dual weapons should have a damage increase. If they don't get an upgrade they are just going to be useless. Make them equal to the other weapons and better when you have two.

That surprises me to hear that from you. I always took it you were on the other side of the wall. But I guess you said you didn't agree with my point but with the sentiment. Ya every game seems to get progressively poorer gameplay with more options to disguise it. The physics engine in H3 terrible H2 great. Difference you ask. Havok engine not made by bungie. Random engine made by bungie that no other game company would use if you paid them.

They both use the Havok engine. And honestly? Halo 2 was 'fly body fly' and no other physics. The ONLY reason you can complain about the physics is grenade bounces, and they happen because maps have complex collision boxes. NOT because of the engine itself.

I personally am not going to judge reach AT ALL before the Beta comes out.

lol

Many of your points are accurate enough, agreeable even, but in my opinion, not worth sorting. They've a record for fixing what's not broke, and leaving behind yet more things that weren't broke.

IMO, they started with a wheel, then tried to replace it with a box with 9 sides because for some reason, they thought it would roll smoother....

I see some people that just recently "met" me on the forums think I'm just disagreeable to every idea that comes along.

It's just that many of those idea's aren't necessarily in the best interest of the public(optimatch forum). Some of those people think that a different opinion is a direct threat to their validation as a human being also.

In the reach forum as well, so so many ridiculous idea's, but some have merit.

IMO, I'm all for carrying forward what works, and only fixing what's actually broken, then adding in a bit of some new stuff for variety and flexibility.

There's just such a poor record for doing so, that a lot of kids think "change is good" and will post the most ludicrous threads here in the reach forum.

They don't understand the meaning of the word integrity, and in my opinion Bungie, as a whole, does no go very far above many of the "cool idea" kids here as far as enlightenment in that area.

Integrity
Stability
Reliability
Remaining Faithful

Some of the most important Company/Customer relative morals that are needed between a dev and a dedicated audience.

Those have shown to be foggy things in Bungie's sense of things, but I'm hoping they'll come around a bit for Reach and return to some of the things that made CE great, instead of seeming to start fresh in the scope of balance and purpose. They didn't put out a sequel to CE, they rebuilt it, then rinsed and repeated, all the way through ODST.

Meh...I'm ranting again. I just find saying "they lack integrity" to be wholly inadequate.

Please Bungie, redeem yourself w/ Reach.
Halo 2 and 3 both stink out loud.
In the immortal words of Mr Horse: Halo 2? No sir, didn't like it.

Unfortunately, that's the way it works with Bungie it seems.

OVER-hype and UNDER-whelm...
