i think grenades are a problem in halo 3 and would like to see them changed in halo: reach.

i tired of going up against these human mortars. i think call of duty got it right with grenades. while some players spam there grenade every respawn they get, grenades are put into there place. there useful for taking out campers of groups of enemies in fortified positions. thats how i think it should be in halo. use a grenade to kill the camper in the sword room or to soften up a group of enemies surrounding there flag. not to use in every single fire fight that guarantees a kill or one shot no matter how much evasionary jumping is done.

and i HATE them, seriously. in halo 2 grenades were a lot less spammed...

thanks for your post. thats exactly what i mean. you have enemies and some times entire teams throwing all of this explosive packets threw the air. often from different fronts so its hard to evade the significant damage they cause.

yeah. go into any game on a small to medium sized map and you will most likely hear one or more grenades go of every ten to 20 seconds.

Two is fine.

Though you should spawn with zero in King of the Hill games. It plays much better.

I just don't like spawning load outs being the same across all maps and game schemes.

Mix it up for the sake of verity and more compelling game play.

True enough, some people make me wonder if their R trigger is broken or something.

I suggest that Bungie makes grenades alot less powerfull, or avoid having so many nades on the map.

And we shouldn't start with 2 nades.

I'll be honest, I liked Halo 1 grenades more than 2 and 3 grenades.
I felt like it's a serious grenade.

The grenades also had longer fuse times. I took away the feeling of a nade fest... sometimes.


Another thing that would help would be to increase respawn times for grenade spawns. I always change them for custom games. If there are two side by side, I set the spawn times at 20 and 45 sec. This way the spawn is not an automatic two grenade pick up.

King of the hill and Oddball matches get the most spamming of the grenades. Normally I try to use 1 grenade planted just right or bounced off a wall to explode near the enemy at roughly the same time I go for a head shot.
