It's on a lot of community maps. Affinity, Think Twice, Abridged...

I meant good maps

I don't really like this idea.

Shields have always been in shooters... They were just called body armor back then.

I don't like this idea either because I like having only 2 weapons to use. Having 3 weapons would be too much cycling with only the Y button and I wouldn't want to cycle with the d-pad.

Ya I bet no one liked the idea of shield in a Shooter either. Look at it now. If your going to dispute an idea try to spend some time explaining why.

Or you just like flaming others. IDK if you don't like the idea. At least explain you reasoning.

That wasn't flaming at all. Flaming is when people start to attack you directly, which I did not do at all. I just don't like the idea. If you want me to explain more, I will.

I'm not sure why you would want anything removed, like dual wielding, which doesn't show up enough to be an issue. I also don't understand how you would pick up a side arm, as I may want to have a Plasma rifle as a regular weapon, but I can only pick it up as a sidearm. I also am not sure why you would need it if you drop your primary weapon when you pull out your side arm, as it's just like having 2 weapons. I wouldn't mind if this showed up, but I also wouldn't be supporting it.

The reason I didn't post this the first time is because I was waiting for the conversation to pick up so I could make a better opinion, but that didn't immediately happen.

I personally like dual wielding, and think it should be improved power wise, because while you're doing it, you can't grenade.

However, you could work in a 3rd weapon also.

As long as it's done in a way that's tested thoroughly. Brand new things tend to get buggy. Look at equipments and jumping, and mauler placement on default maps.

I do see a whole new factor it could add to MM and balance however. With 3 available weapons, you can cover more bases(long range, power weapon, tactical weapon, etc). It could really make game play grow stale.

IMO, not a bad idea per se, but not one I think Bungie could pull off successfully.

We dont have to explain ourselves. The fact is...its a stupid idea.

There is nothing wrong with Halo:Reach. We all just have our gripes about everything we don't like. Not liking something doesn't make it broken.

Neither do I. I fail to see how this could possibly be better then Dual Wielding.

When I Dual wield and I Dual Wield smart I can very easily manage a killing spree or better in a short time. The only thing keeping Dual Magnums from being about equal to the BR is the slow fire rate.

SMGs, Spikers and Plasma Rifles ARE useful but weapons like the BR and most players obsession with the Sniper lead them to believe these weapons are underpowered. They are far from it if you wield them together, I find they can kill quite quickly.

Plasma Pistol is easily a great Ace up your sleeve. With some twitch in your thumbs you can outdo a shotgun or mauler, even the occasional sword lunge. It can disable and weaken vehicle and set you up to simply one shot with a stop-and-swap with a BR or Magnum.

Having a sidearm feature like you propose would weaken these weapons a HUGE amount. The SMG, the Spiker and the Plasma rifle especially, followed by the Magnum then the Plasma Pistol.

Part of the usefulness is being able to use two. Unless they all got huge power upgrades, they would be officially worthless. Four out of five dual wieldable weapons would almost totally lose ALL their killing power.

You are creative, but your idea hardly works.

Two weapon slots is enough. Your idea doesn't fix any existing problems and could only serve to make at least three of four weapons utterly worthless.

It is polite to explain yourself. It isn't hard, the idea is creative but flawed.

I love this idea and I think it would be great, the side arm would be a pistol like in halo 2 and halo 3 odst and the other two primary would the one we use now

RED BRICK STUDIOS!

Medal of Honor: Airborne did this. I though it was good in that game, but Halo...

I don't like the idea of a special button.

It's a good base idea, but I don't like your interpretation of it. It'd be easier jut to allow on side arm, and two primaries. That's it. No dropping because you switched or w.e. else confusing crap you said. Make it simple. As much as I'd like to say I'd like it, I wouldn't. It isn't Halo, more CoD.
